    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Michael Tiller

He posted on Fauna asking if anyone had ever purchased anything from me since he was planning on making a large purchase of rats from me. He got the rats. I never got my money. I guess I should have been asking if anyone ever sold him anything with out getting the money up front.
 
Three years ago. I had forgotten about it until this new post. I had someone deliver the rats from Seattle to Salem. He was in continual contact with me until he received the rats, then I never heard from him again. After reviewing the Marion County Jail information, it appears he will be needing his money for attorney's fees and bail.
 
Yeah, that was what I was wondering. If it had been around the same time, it might explain the lack of response, but that falls apart with such a distant event.
 
I sent the final payment on the 25th of February, that Thursday morning. He responded that afternoon while I was asleep. I replied that night, and never got a response. I believe it said he was incarcerated the 26th, that Friday.
 
An additional search in Marion County, Oregon produces a link to an individual, "Michael Tiller" mugshot from 2012-2013

Thank you Robert for finding that for me. It's definitely him. Ugh. Sad that I feel like I need to do a full criminal background check from now on. This is why I stick with the same group of people instead of outsourcing for purchases. Lesson learned!!
 
He just contacted me and has been completely honest about the situation and is willing to rectify it however I so choose
 
Well, I am glad for your sake that he is going to try and make things right! I know how stressful things can get when sellers go quiet for reasons-unknown, so I can sympathize.
