In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Gastro 3003 (PLEASE BUYERS BEWARE) !!!

If funds are not available they try a second time 2 days later and then they call us

Anyway
The point is u can see from THE LAST email I sent him at nighy tgat I saw no funds in Paypal and went to bed !!!!

I immediately refunded ALL I had in the account right away and asked him to wait a few days which he refused

He also put in a claim to Payapl for The FULL AMOUNT ..even though he got 500 back

I am the real Gastroenterologist
You dot paypal someone without speaking to the person at all. Right at bedtime. Things are coming in and out of my PayPal account all day. If I wanted to use his money I wouldn't have told him when he asked me at night that it was already sold and that I had not received any money from him yet! He was irresponsible by simply sending money to me

And again I refunded $500 which was my balance in PayPal and told him in a few days I will have the rest and he decided the best way to go would be to put up a claim in PayPal for $927 even though he had already gotten $500 back

I am not familiar with automatic withdrawal via PayPal since I would never go for that haphazard control.

$X was due for tuition.

$927 was sent by Adam.

You had $500 in balance to send as a partial refund.

The tuition consumed his $427 exactly to reach its total due?

There are other parts of the deal discussion I would not like as a buyer or as a seller, but this PayPal situation and funding availability feels odd.

That's exactly right

You can set up Paypal to pay for any recurring bills

He had no business just sending me money in the middle of the night while I was sleeping

I sent back 500 IMMEDIATELY and he would of had the rest by now but he chose to fight on Paypal

HE was the irresponsible one

Robert Brunner as far as me opening a PayPal claim for the full refund amount of $927 is all a lie! I clearly stated to PayPal that you had sent me a refund of $475 because the item you were selling (tortoise) had been sold and was longer available. I'm not a scammer and PayPal isn't stupid, they can clearly see our transaction (my amount sent $927 and your partial refund $475).

Where are you coming up with the idea I opened a claim for the full purchase amount?

You used my money and I'm sure you've tried using/scamming other people's money as well.

Thanks,
Adam

You might want to post screen shots of the PayPal situation, Adam. All relevant payments, dispute stuff, and things of that nature like the messages in the dispute fields.

Might be easier/simpler that way for readers.

He sent the money without telling me....I went to bed...In the AM when I woke up I saw his deposit ..buy tuition was taken out

I IMMEDIATELY sent him my balance of about 500..and said I would have the rest in a few days

Again... he sent the money without contacting me at all. It was just before 11 p.m. eastern time. I'm not sure if he included the email above where I said I have not received any money yet I will check in the morning goodnight.

Had he told me he was sending the money I would have told him not to because it was sold.

Then your ad should not say, "first to PayPal the money gets him"; that indicates that the buyer needs to jump on it and send the money now.

Indeed.

There are sellers who want the payment faster than anything to seize upon an opportunity. I regularly interact with several like this. There are also sellers who believe that the first to pay is the buyer, but that there needs to be stated acceptance of the deal prior to the sending of the payment. I am like this. I can see where some confusion could come up with things stated as they were and how that could prompt payment being prioritized over communication.

Nick, I have a few bills set up to come out of my PayPal as well, my account is linked to my bank account & if the funds are not in PP, it is automatically taken from my bank.

I have no doubt that what Robert is saying is true. However, now that there is an open claim, it may be impossible for him to refund the rest, because he cannot transfer the funds into PP.

Sure and I can understand the nature of automatic withdrawals (although I am not personally familiar with PayPal that way since I handle the full process), but he still should have been able to issue a full refund from some source unless he did not have the money. If he did not have the money, he also could not have paid the tuition as I am seeing it.

Now he said he didn't claim all of it ....Really...judge for ur self

He put in a claim for $927! The full amount! Even though I had a long refunded him $500! And Nick as I said if the funds are low they try again in two days. I offered repeatedly to give him the money if he waits a couple of days till I get my direct the posit and he chose to fight! Now my PayPal account Is locked up for $927 even though he received 500 of it already! I made this very clear to Paypal

My account is locked up for $927 even though he received 500 of it. For all I know he will get 927 from PayPal plus the 500 I already refunded him and he will make out like a bandit!

From what source should he refund from, if not PayPal?

Your a Gastroenterologist yet didn't have the money to pay your son's school tuition? This whole situation seems fishy to me. If he hadn't sent the money how would you have paid the tuition? Plus if you sold the animal the op was attempting to buy hours before why couldn't you use that money to pay him back immediately?

Robert, if you refunded from the transaction page, PP will see this and he will not get $927, he will get the balance due.
