• Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Gastro 3003 (PLEASE BUYERS BEWARE) !!!

I still do not see how the response to Kyle's question serves as an explanation for the reconciliation of the statements that were emboldened in Kyle's post.

Something about you doesn't add up, gastro3003. The whole story just feels off, especially small details. Now you're name dropping things to try to be intimidating or something. You said you were a gastroenterologist. Why would you be in the OR doing a chole? GI doesn't do those, surgeons do.

Ironically I don't think you were a bad guy here; the OP shouldn't have just sent you money without checking first. But, there are a lot of odd little things that just don't add up. Trying to deflect questions by insinuating that you're at the hospital doing surgery seems strange to me.

That's a really good point, I didn't even think about that, when I had my gallbladder removed the gastroenterologist sent me to a surgeon to have the surgery, I didn't even see the GI Dr till some time after the surgery was done. My mother had the same experience as I did with a different GI in a different state, GI sent her to a surgeon, he didn't do the surgery himself. His story definitely has quite a few inconsistencies.

As with everything in my life as a physician for 20 years I learned a lot from this experience.

This gets my hackles up, just like those people who use their veteran status when talking about a transaction. It is an attempt to make readers give undue weight to what is being said by a person based on a claimed profession.

What you learn over 20 years does not necessarily have a lot to do with your employment. Whether you are a doctor, a plumber, a secretary, a reptile company, how much you learn is a complex mix of opportunity, challenge, luck, incentive, and I'm sure many other things.
No one is intrinsically better than anyone else, we are all people, and we all deserve honest dealings.

And I want to publicly apologize to Adam for not being as familiar as I should have been with the ins and outs of selling with Payapl

He's a good guy and I am REALLY happy he got his money back !!!

Where is the proof that he got his money back?

On 5/17/16 I sent the payment of $927 to Robert Brunner for a 7" Aldabra tortoise he claimed he had for sale. Later that day I was told by him that the tortoise had been sold, he was going to review his PayPal account the following morning and send me my refund. On 5/18/16 he sent me an email stating that he was charged with his sons school tuition and he could no longer refund me my full purchase amount because it was no longer in his PayPal account. Later that day he refunded me $475 from my original $927 purchase. I opened a PayPal claim that day, so I'm now awaiting to get my refund on the ending balance of my purchase.

Thanks,
Adam
