    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

This lady can be my grandma but I guess she never matured. She is selling sick bearded dragons and has no problem admitting to it. I asked for a refund she agreed but to my surprise 3 days later, when she told me she would be back from vacation and refund me half and half after i ship the dragon, I was blocked. She has me blocked and thought that was a wrap and she won but I posted about this by the way the female bearded dragon I got from her had a prolapse and some virus. I had to file a claim on paypal and they requested a letter from a vet so I had to pull out my wallet and paid 112 to get her treated and checked and pay shipping to send her back. I won the case but not my money i lost 162 dealing with this dishonest person. Right now shes on fire selling dragons but please think twice all the messages are down below.

From the close up picture of the vent, I can say with confidence, the dragon has yellow fungus.

I hope you practiced strict quarantine & did not touch any of your dragons after caring for her.

If that dragon really has been bred while in this state, that's another reason to avoid the seller. They can't be too concerned over the health of their animals if they'll breed one that has a "hemroid." There is something clearly wrong with that dragon's vent and she should have never been sent out.

It's too bad the buyer cared more about the animal than the seller did and got her vet care at his own expense, only to be left with nothing in the end.

How can you tell? Also shouldn't the vet have picked up on that?

I don't keep dragons but my understanding of yellow fungus is that it's highly contagious and fatal.
 
I can't speak of yellow fungus, but it definitely looks like some kind of intestinal prolapse or hemorrhage. I've kept dragons (mostly as pets, but have bred once) for years and never saw anything like that in mine.

Total shame on you, Spyro Dragons, Britney Thomas, not only to keep an animal in that condition and not treat it, but to sell (translated : dump the poor neglected girl), misrepresent it and than screw the trusting and more caring buyer.

Buyer totally beware!

Per her text, she also bred that animal. I can't stand people who view their animals only as cash dispensers!

The only positive here is that she went to Simon, who got her the medical care she needed.

I can't see the picture clear enough, but if there is cracking and discoloration around the vent area, then I agree that it could be yellow fungus.

I also agree that the OP should not touch any of his other dragons after touching her and keep her quarantined. Also please wash your hands after touching her, every time! You can't be too careful, as it can spread to other reptiles.

Sometimes yellow fungus can be misdiagnosed as a bacterial infection. It is highly contagious and there is no cure, only ways to make the animal feel a bit better.

Prolapses in dragons can be common, especially if they have not been cared for properly and then bred. Britney Thomas calling that a "hemorrhoid" is irresponsible and downright wrong! She could have helped that dragon, and not had it be so bad had she done certain things when the prolapse happened, but it's obvious she didn't and that dragon suffered. Then for Britney Thomas to "dump" that dragon on a customer and lie, that's downright conniving and makes her a con-artist.

OP, Hopefully this girl perks up for you. But PLEASE do not breed her, and PLEASE get her checked again for yellow fungus. Glad she's with someone who cares because obviously Britney Thomas didn't.

If I read this correctly, the OP does not have to worry about quarantine & re-checks, nor will the OP breed her, since the Beardie was sent back to Britney.
Paypal refunded the OP'S money but the OP is still out $162 (due to $112 for the vet and $50 for shipping back).

Ah I missed that. Too bad for the dragon. Britney will probably turn around and sell the dragon to another unsuspecting person. :(

It's a bad situation, all around, for unsuspecting customers and this poor Beardie. Apparently, all due to this Britney's lack of ethics and lack of caring.

I can tell because I took in a dragon that had it. I know what it looks like.

Those unfamiliar can misdiagnose it.

There is cracking, blisters and yellow discoloration.

It is easily misdiagnosed/overlooked by those unfamiliar with it.

Regardless what is medically/ clinically wrong with that dragon, there is a freaking obvious problem and the breeder, seller is clearly at fault, not only for neglect and allegedly breeding that girl, but for then selling that animal. Speculation at what the exact problem is, is not the problem. The seller is the problem.
 
Melissa thank you for the info. I keep snakes, not dragons, so I wouldn't know what to look for. Hopefully your experience and observations can help other keepers as well.
