On one hand, Dwayne (who I thought would have been the adult in this situation and who was the one who originally made the initial payments for the snake) is now making public threats.


However, Monica has reached out, apologized, and claims she intends to pay what is owed. See screen shots below. I hope she is sincere. I suppose time will tell. I am just appalled at this whole situation.

First of all, I don't know what she is referencing as far as 'taking down the posts' but these BOI posts are permanent.

Second, her behavior when you contacted her- immediate blocking you- smacks of dishonesty. Had she really thought that the balance was gifted, she would have discussed the situation with you instead of blocking you. To me, the 'gifting' idea sounds as if it came about after you finally posted here in an attempt to get the debt paid, and she realized that the situation did not look good for her:

Wow I am shocked I even have to make this post. A couple years ago I purchase On June 23rd, I sent them a message to check in and ask when they were planning on making more payments or if they would be able to pay the balance in-full. Monica immediately blocked me, she also immediately blocked me from her father's account as well. All I did was ASK the question.

It's funny you should say that because I was informed this morning that just last week this post was made looking for a male for our female they stole! If they owe money and are in financial need due to medicinal bills, one would think they would be selling snakes to pay off their debt and try to make some money to pay for bills.....nit buy more snakes and ask for handouts.....sure makes you wonder does it??

I also feel it is unseemly to have an active GoFundMe asking strangers for money for baby bills while at the same time trying to purchase a new snake for a project.

Which why I said I would update the BOI. The posts that cannot be removed will be updated accordingly. I was not the one who chose to block and dramatize this entire situation. If it really was as simple as a misunderstanding or a timing issue then it would have been very simple to just tell me that the first time I asked. My husband and I are very reasonable people, I think anyone on the planet who has met us or has done business with us can atest to that. She decided to block me and force me to do the only thing I knew to do to get their attention to try to resolve this. If now indeed she wants to make things right and does so I will gladly update the posts to show she followed through. But she actually needs to do so. Her father posting public threats to my family is not helping is case.

I agree on not taking such threats lightly, no matter who makes them. But I don't know that he has any felony convictions. I'm certainly not going to believe something just because he says so.

In MD his record is for domestic violence, though there aren't 27 felonies listed.

As far as the screenshot of Monica asking to wait until August for repayment, perhaps instead of putting all of this off, a small sum sent now might be appropriate to show good faith.

I am sure he does NOT have that many felony counts at all.
However the fact that he would use that line even if untrue, says worlds about his character tbh.
I would not trust either of them one inch!
I really doubt the sincerity of the claims that the op will be paid back, I mean the idea that they would be "gifted" $500?

There are so many things about this that scream "conmen at work", unfortunately it's all in hindsight though. We have the loving grandpa who wanted the snake home for Christmas to be reunited with his granddaughter(oh how the baby was so excited Luna's coming home)! Turns out he's now playing the role of a prison-hardened thug. The baby must've been so upset when the beloved pet was pawned off less than a year after coming home. Then there's the "I thought it was a gift" line... That's one of the most common BS lines the defendant tells the judge on Peoples Court or Judge Mathis. Now poor frail old dad is down with a broken leg, probably from crashing the dirt bike he bartered using the stolen snake, and now his daughter is feeding tikigator-the theft victim- some sob story about that very crash. Cons sure know how to keep the play in motion I tell ya.

I will add (and my apologizes if I did not already post this, I have been trying to figure this all out and keep track of screenshots and conversations etc)......I was told (in PM by a couple people who wish to not be named) that our snake Luna was traded to Sean (for the dirt bike). When I asked Sean he said she was not. He actually told me Dwayne told him she died, which I really didn't believe, but it did upset me. Regardless of all of that (which at this point is really not important), Monica has stated that they (she and Dwayne) still have Luna and she is fine. So my apologies for bringing Sean into this and saying she was traded, that was just whag I was told and was trying to figure it out. Aside from Monica now telling me she wasn't, who really knows what is true in this whole fiasco? I just really hope if nothing else comes out of this, that the animal that we loved so dearly and considered a part of our family is being taken care of and treated properly, wherever she is.

What a pity party. Maybe "everybody" would stop attacking them if they took care of their responsibilities and stopped asking for handouts. I truly hope that Monica is good on her word, and I would certainly involve the police in regards to the father's messages...perhaps after she makes good on the payment, though. These people obviously don't even know what the truth is anymore. Anyone who reads this and still does business with them deserves the hassle it will bring. Even if they actually do pay off the snake (i wouldn't bet on it), their reputation is DESTROYED beyond recognition. Unfortunately for them, this BOI is here to stay.
