In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Buddy Young - Designer Boas - BAD DEAL

4,157 views, buddy. Lets say half are unique - thats 2000 potential clients that have scene what kind of BS you are up to. Please refund my money, buddy.

Still no movement by paypal...or buddy.

Sweet! PayPal awarded in my favor. Thanks for nothing Buddy! Hope the 5K views got you the notoriety you were looking for.

Thanks for the support everyone. I know its not fun dealing with this mess but it is appreciated.

Best,

Jason

Glad it (sort of) worked out for you! I'm sure you would have preferred to have the snake, and all the hours back that you spent dealing with this though. :(

Kathy

I am sure he would have preferred to be to be paid by Buddy than having to have Paypal intervene. Everyone would have come out a lot cleaner that way too.

Just my two ¢ I am an absolute NOBODY in the herp field but I've gotten enough experience in NY two years to say this-if someone asks me to send friends and family or pay the 3% pp.fee, I immediately take my business elsewhere. That's extremely unprofessional to me, and even bring a nobody, i still know what the boi is and this reaction from a seller would put him on my DNB(do not buy) list...

Not that it's any of your business...wE ship every Tuesday, Do you think I ship one animal a week...lol

No cash refunds....

I couldn't care less about what you post or about the BOI Jason. I far to busy to worry about little stuff like this.

If PP refunds all your money, good, I'm happy for you. Have a nice day. If not mt offer for settlement stands....or any reasonable solution you may propose...call me anytime.

Yes I'll keep his boa until the cows come home. I'll be feeding and selling baby boas the rest of my life anyway.

I'm glad you recognize I have a novice buyer. If I get out of this world with Jason being unhappy with my product I can live with that.
Wow buddy, I always admired your boas but now I would avoid them like the plague. Your responses in the emails and texts he posted are horrendous, lacking in basic customer service, no tos. You are now labeled as a thief and a company had to take the money back from you and give it rightfully back to the buyer. Seeing you request he pay for your fees? Speechless. Congrats, you just lost ANOTHER future customer

Your arrogance is unbecoming. I am extremely pleased that the OP got paid by PP (no thanks to you). You will be avoided like the plague as previously mentioned.

Ugh, bad move bro. I checked in with him, he has a tracking number for you and a date set... you should approach this differently, you will lose right now.

Just a fact, reach out, say sorry, whatever and get your animals. Just my opinion, I'm new around here... so prolly don't do what I said. It sucks swallowing pride, I had to do that once... it sucked a little to a little.

What's that saying, eat crow?

Glad you got your money back, despite what people say about losing disputes on live animals, I've never heard of people having issues with PayPal refunds when nothing was shipped. He was just trying to use bully tactics so you'd give in, good thing you stuck to your guns.

I'm kinda on the fence here. First, I know of buddy and have been a part of deals with him in the past with no complaints. I'm not just talking about one or two either. I'm just wondering why it became such a big deal to have the snake that week, instead of waiting to get back from your business trip. You were already going to have someone babysitting it anyways, so why not just let it be watched where it was instead of by someone else immediately after it shipped? What if it came in with something like an RI or dehydrated and you weren't able to be there to take it to the vet for a month? Not saying that would happen, but it's just something to think about

Also just another thought, even with TOS not being posted, it's kinda rare in the industry these days to see anyone that's willing to do a full cash return. Store credit, animal exchange, or partial refund has always been the normal in my dealings.

Don't know who you're dealing with then. If I pay Walmart for something and then decide I don't want it they give me a full refund. Not store credit. Yes these are live animals but that seems like a tactic to keep the money and leave buyer with nothing until they find something else they want and that offer would put me off buying from that person in the future because if I had someone pull what Buddy did I wouldn't be returning.

If you tell me your next shipping day is Tuesday, and I am expecting you to ship it Tuesday when it's paid in full then tell me after the day passes that it's going to he another 2 weeks, say no cash refunds, taunt me and bully me I'd want my money back to. You saying that kind of makes me think you're blaming the victim for not wanting to put up with that because buddy seems to have let his standing get to his head. What I saw in those messages to the buyer is disgusting and should not have happened. I'm glad this person brought this to light and let me know exactly what I could be dealing with when dealing with this seller. Buddy is now on my do not buy from list.

We aren't dealing with Walmart though. For example, go to Prehistoric Pets and check their terms. No refunds for not wanting to wait for safer shipping conditions which applies to this situation. This is an industry standard practice.

I completely disagree. I've personally done full refunds and have had people give me full refunds. If someone only offered me credit after they messed up I'd be pretty mad, it's just a way to be cheap and keep the money. Any good business would just give a refund and keep the customer happy, not cling to every dollar like their life depends on it.

This is avoiding my point of why should it have been a big deal to wait until he was free to recieve the shipment of buddy offered to care for it himself. That should have been the end of that conversation there and never made it to name calling between either party

It's only standard for breeders that are working in such high volumes that they don't care about making individual customers happy and don't care about individual animals, which is why I don't buy from them. It's standard for wholesalers, not normal breeders.
