• Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Gastro3003 aka Dr. Robert Brunner -- Scam Artist, Forger, Beware!

The formal writings of the Jewish religion honor justice. The halakha are set out in the Talmud. I'm thinking that the Marsha Stern Talmudical Academy might be interested in this thread.

Actually - Just keep the ring ..Enough is enough
Call parrots of the world ...
See how that works for you ....
Or lets see KY ..or ANYONE ...verify your little cut and paste scam

Take care

You're obviously good at playing doctor. You are a failure at playing honest Abe. Guess that ring means as much to you as your marriage. Will you be dropping that lawsuit now?...Scammer?

You want them to post proof, which he already has yet you've posted NOTHING at all in the form of proof. It's your turn.. for the 3rd time post some proof of what your saying.

Maybe not entirely relevant to this situation, but I found myself questioning just who the OP actually is. After having my curiosity piqued by the choice to censor the part of the screenshot that shows the FB account name, I did some digging. Fairly confident that "Ici" isn't a real name - at least, not the name that this person would most realistically be known by. Michael Li seems much more likely, although a Stephen Douglas was also associated with the email address that led to Michael's FB page. The Stephen Douglas reference was found on the one site that shall not be named here on Fauna.

The email address Mr. Li/"Douglas" used to apparently phish for www.florafauna.com, is [email protected]. While Gastro3003 is looking like his usual shady self, I think the OP also seems a little off. Mr. Li and Mr. Brunner also seem to share a love of high-end watches, which did strike me as being an interesting coincidence. Anyway, few things raise my hackles quicker than someone who seems to want their true name to remain hidden. Maybe it's just me, though. Figured I'd throw it out there, since more info is typically better than less. :shrug01:

I have no idea who Stephen Douglas is. Michael is my professional and Western name, because most westerners have no idea how to pronounce my native name, "Ici." Not sure how FloraFauna.com (which I own) is a "fishing" site? I operate as a respected and legitimate business representing the interests of a couple dozen vendors. Not sure what you're trying to insinuate here.

The next step would be for me to introduce myself to Dr. Brunner's employers, patients, and colleagues, linking them to this thread. That's where this is heading towards.

Not sure what you're trying to insinuate here.
Insinuating only that it seems odd that you'd choose to hide your FB nam in the screenshot. Also a bit odd that you now use "Ici" when you happen to have an old account here that uses "Michael". Didn't say it was a phishing site; I said that your email address was used to phish for the site. Perhaps I used "phish" improperly. What I found shows that you used the email address I'd shown to feign interest in purchasing animals, for the ultimate purpose of directing traffic to your site - using the names Michael Li and Stephen Douglas to do so. Since links to the particular thread I'd found are automatically blocked on Fauna, I'd be happy to privately provide the link to anyone who may have an interest in the subject.

Again, I'm not sure what you're trying to insinuate. I have never "fished" and it is widely known and accepted in the community that I go by either Michael or Ici. Most of my tortoise and plant friends know me as Ici. I feel comfortable with either. However, I'm a bit confused because I'm not sure how this is even relevant to the subject matter of this thread. If you feel that you have something against either my website, FloraFauna.com or me in any way, feel free to create your own thread stating your grievance there in lieu of hijacking my thread concerning Dr. Brunner. Thanks.

You and any questions about your actual name are as relevant to this thread as anything involving Brunner. Don't try to tell me how to use a forum with which I'm extremely familiar. Thanks.

Robert, my PayPal address is: [pm privately sent]. Send the $1300 you owe me as a friendly transaction, or I will reject the payment.
Robert is not your friend, using a 'friends and family' Paypal transaction is not appropriate.

Actually, it is appropriate. I don't wish to have a 3% PayPal fee deducted from my payment as well as the possibility of Dr. Brunner filing a frivolous PayPal claim that may further lock up my funds.

He is not your friend. Using 'friends and family' when the transaction is actually a business transaction amounts to theft imho because Paypal does not get its rightful cut. There is a 'refund' selection, it may have certain requirements.

Actually, it is in fact not relevant at all, and to argue to the contrary as you are doing is a complete distraction to the subject matter on hand, which is far more serious.

If Dr. Brunner wishes to provide an example where I somehow switched names when dealing with him and perpetrated fraud towards him, I welcome him to come forward. I was extremely straightforward and honest in dealing with him, and I fully expected the return of the $1300 owed and his ring, which was used as collateral, to be returned to him. These were the terms of our deal, which he did not honor, hence the creation of this thread.

Instead, Dr. Brunner chose to perpetrate fraud by forging a death certificate on behalf of Parrots of the World claiming that the tortoise I sold him had died. Here, we are talking about a medical professional who has knowingly engaged in fraud by impersonating a respected veterinary establishment.

Robert is more than welcome to mail me cash or provide me with a bank check -- I'm fine with those options, as well.

It is relevant because it shows how easily you yourself embrace fraudulent behavior. There is not always one Bad Guy in a Bad Guy thread.

You're still claiming the tortoise is dead despite the fact it is now in KYTuan's possession -- perfectly healthy? Lol KYTuan actually reached out to me in order to inquire some additional information concerning the tortoise: hatch date, lineage, etc. It's a small world, Robert.

You have a picture of the fugazi ring? Wedding bands are usually engraved as well. If it's fake it'll prove once and for all that he's gone full scam artist.

Incorrect. By posting a BOI thread, you open yourself up to the same scrutiny as your target. Perhaps a Mod will choose to weigh-in and educate you.

People very well may be interested in the fact that you chose to obscure the name that you seem to use everywhere else I've found you online - even on another Fauna account you'd previously created. It definitely jumped out at me. People may also find it interesting that you're choosing to disavow any knowledge about Stephen Douglas, who also used your [email protected] email address. In my eyes, the denial is probably more noteworthy than the actual tactics you'd used to generate traffic. While it may not take away from your claims against Brunner, it's info that people can use to make informed decisions about anyone directly involved with this thread. It's quite possible that I'm part of a very small minority that finds it meaningful, but that doesn't make it irrelevant.

I disagree.
Since you are using this site to pursue your issue with Dr Brunner, you are subject to the rules of this site...and questions about your name are certainly relevant to that concern.
