I guess because the sulfur in it makes it smell bad and that repells them?

Claims 91% effective rate "As snakes move around, they use their tongues to pick up chemical signals in their environment. The signals pass through a sensory organ called the Jacobsen’s Organ, which interprets them and sends them to the brain to help a snake navigate. Upon encounter, Snake-A-Way temporarily disrupts the function of the Jacobsen’s Organ, which disorients the snake and causes it to slither away in search of fresh air. "

(Or maybe you keep it in your pocket and throw it at the snake???)
Very effective! 5% success rate, but hey it works!

So you pour this around your snake room or out in the yard and create a "snake fence" to trap them inside... hum, Million $ idea...not
