In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

This is my small frog collection. They are all juveniles with the aurita being the largest, at around 2", and the green cornuta being the smallest, the smaller about quarter size. Got these pics while they were out enjoying the 82° weather and taking a soak. Let me know what you think, thanks.

You have so many beautifully colored & patterned Cornuta! The two aurita changed to the same colors?? So nice colors they are changing to! The first two pictures of Cornuta are spectacular hints of brown on their backs! Did all of these come from Pat?

Thanks, i appreciate it. The 2 green cornuta and 2 aurita came from Pat, the 2 brown cornuta came from Underground Reptiles. The aurita don't usually have that darker tint to them, they only get like that when they are agitated, which is anytime they see me for more than a few min lol.

Nice.. I am thinking about checking out Underground Reptiles Cornuta cbb's..

Go for it, they are super easy to do business with. If you do get a cbb Cornuta be sure to keep it a smaller enclosure until it grows. I had mine in 5 gal tanks and they weren't eating well. As soon as I moved them to smaller kritter keepers they started eating great. My green cornuta are also doing well in smaller kritter keepers, though I haven't tried them in a bigger tank.

This was my collection 5 years ago. I never had any problems of feeding in the past. After one day of settling in my fantasy Horned frog started eating, my aurita has taken two days without eating. I am going to offer different food, Phoenix worms or crickets. Right now my frogs were offered earthworms from the bait shop. My fantasy Horned frog rejected the cricket but ate the earthworms instantly! I live 2 hours from Snakes at Sunset & Underground Reptiles so.. I am gonna get down there again & think of hand picking my frog. I really wanted to wait till they got green Cornuta babies in again. I will try your smaller cage method. www.faunaclassifieds.com/forums/showthread.php?t=609388&page=2

I had a big collection before, about 40 frogs.. Mostly Cranwelli and Ornate but I had cornuta and caatinga as well. Went through a bad situation and had to basically give them all away :(. My collection will stay small this stime, no more than 10. I'd really like a couple caatinga and some really bright high red ornates but I'm not having luck finding them. I emailed Philippe about caatinga but never heard back and I just can't find the quality I'm looking for with ornates. Good luck getting your cornuta.. A word of advice, if you really want a green phase wait for one. The brown phase are nice but if you're like me, even if you settle for a brown you'll end up just getting greens when they come available lol.. That's a nice caatinga, I've seen it before when I was searching out pics of frogs a month ago.

Oh that stinks about your collection. I just got two cbb baby brown's. I am not gonna sweat a green phase because my aurita will be greenish. I really bought two because I am crossing my fingers one of the brown surinam is female. :) Yeah, I miss my Caatinga but I missed my Cornuta today.. I am so happy to actually have a aurita though!

Wow...just wow... I love your collection. I am sorry you had to "give away" your previous collection. But, your current one looks amazing!! I hope you do not mind me asking Bart, but, how did you acquire your amazing specimens? I mean who produced them or did you produce them yourself?

Thanks for your time.

I bought them from sellers on this sites classifieds.. I've been watching the listings on this site for a while looking for what I want.

Thanks so much for answering. Your always so prompt with your responses. I am so...well... not :face_palm_02:. Thanks for being so understanding with that too.

Do they only wholesale?
When I bought my c. Cornuta the manager of the reptile shop/fish shop said to me Strictly Reptiles wholesales and sometimes does individual sales. They are located in Hollywood, FL.

I wish that I was closer to the store. Okay, maybe not, since, I might be "more broke" then ever LOL. If you ever see adult Dyscophus guineti let me know.
