I'm glad you are trying, please persist until the Paypal dispute paperwork is done.If you are able to immediately escalate it to a dispute, I think that is a good idea.

When you get some rest, work on posting the screen shots of the emails your seller sent to you please. It is important for our community that we can see what he said.

Becky you are not dumb. Naive, maybe, but you can learn. If you are going to be buying high dollar turtles, it is worth putting in the 'foundation' skills such as being proficient with Paypal keeping good records and knowing how to post screen shots.
A very good education can be had just be reading the BOI daily.

I did not see anyone attacking you. I saw many confused by your responses & seemingly lack of English comprehension. Your sentence structure is decidedly foreign, as in English isn't your first language. That isn't a bad thing, but it would help for to be honest about it.

I for one am very confused, but I am glad Lucille has you on the right track. I hope you get your money back.

I reviewed the thread again and in post #21 you posted the payment dates. Unfortunately it appears you have exceeded the 180 day deadline to initiate a Paypal dispute.
I'm hoping you post your email screenshots, the community can make suggestions but you have to do your part in providing information.

If you go away from this BOI instead of providing info, all you will have accomplished is announcing to any predators that might read this thread that you are ready, willing, and able to be their prey. They will be delighted when you answer their ads.

While I'm flattered by your thought provoking PM, how about focusing your efforts on providing us with some actual proof of your transactions with Adrian instead. Right now all we are left with are some semi-coherent ramblings, minus an ounce of tangible proof that any of this actually took place.

I'm native Texan as well (and we've got some American Indian in our blood, too, tho I'm not sure what that's got to do with anything here) but I have no idea what this person means by "we do things totally different from you". Unless she's talking about the snide uses of honey and back-handed compliments that some southerners use.

We're from the south, it's nothing but a land region, it doesn't make us special. Robert's (or anyone else's) worth as a person isn't tainted by being a "yankee."

Frankly, when I first read this thread, by just a few posts in I was absolutely convinced the OP was not a native English speaker. It would explain the near complete lack of comprehension and inability to write a coherent post. I was going to suggest finding out what her native language was and use something like Google translate to see if we got better results.

Since that is supposedly not the case, I highly recommend that you get a friend or family member help you compose your messages and explain to you exactly what is being asked of you.

You are on the verge of losing 7000 dollars if all you say is true. I don't know about anyone else but I surely could not afford to lose even a fraction of that. Now is not the time to get nasty and vindictive with the people trying to help you. No one has said one rude word to you, they are trying to understand you and gather information that will help you get your money back.

Unless attacking other people is more important to you than recovering thousands of dollars, in which case, carry on until everyone stops responding and no one wants to help you.

I am starting to wonder if there ever was a purchase. According to this person she made a series of payments to Cieslak starting almost a year ago. It doesn't seem rational to keep paying the same seller time after time for animals not received and her story is that all she received was a box turtle.
And she would repeatedly promise to call Paypal but not do so, it has been too long and she could not make a claim (if there was really a purchase) , but my point is that she would dance around on the edge of compliance and then do nothing.
And there have been nothing but excuses when Becky was asked to post emails as proof of what happened with this transaction.

She appears to love joining in, if one looks at her past posts, there are many where she will post to a classified ad telling a seller how cute his turtle is. Maybe this was her way of joining in the BOI, to invent a purchase gone wrong.

I checked out Becky's profile and she states that she has been a security officer. It seems beyond belief that someone who has worked in that field would not have the knowledge, or even a peer with the knowledge, to negotiate a transaction gone wrong through Paypal.

Neither here nor there, but it seems a strange coincidence that she and another member here have been security officers, have allegedly paid for turtles and not received them and presented their issues in the BOI, and who have similar issues with melt downs. It doesn't seem that they could be the same person, but I'm wondering if somehow there is some influence behind the scenes.
