    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

FYI: An account (MoreCorns789) recently appeared for a Rob Gomez. He had a classified ad posted for a:
2017 Male Scaleless Texas rat snake

FYI: An account (hoopstar787) by Roberto Garcia also recently posted a classified ad for a:
2017 Male Scaleless Texas rat snake

When I asked them if they knew each other, both accounts acknowledged knowing one another do to a prior "trade" they had done, but that was all - nothing more.

I would love to hear an explanation why Roberto & Rob's ads match.
Roberto, why is this?

I bought a couple pairs of cornsnakes off of Roberto Garcia and the genetics they were 100% het for proved out on the pair I bred. This upcoming year will be the first breeding for the other pair but I’m confidant they’ll prove as well. Seems like a nice guy to me. I do not know rob Gomez and I’ve never heard of him.
 
Is he trying to funnel in potential buyers by steering them with a second account to generate fake competition? Like giving the consumer an illusion of choice, but the money is his either way? I'm probably overlooking something here, but that seems to me like it would just be more of a hassle, rather than actually producing any benefit. Why even bother with something like that? Especially on a website that is so carefully monitored.

If it is this same person that's exactly what he is doing and it's a much better tactic than you'd think. You'd be surprised how many companies out there use this method. Locally we have some intersections that that will have 2 to 3 gas stations on each corner all owned by one person. A lot of major companies do this as well. I also remember someone on sharktank doing this and became extremely wealthy because of it. You are right thought this site isn't the beSt place for this.

Can you help shed light on how both of you were selling the same animal a month apart from each other? I don't dispute that 'you' Roberto Garcia exist, I dispute that Rob Gomez is real.
 
I just received a female adult scaleless rat from hoopstar787 about an hour ago. Snake appears to be healthy and as described. And shipping was carried out in time as discussed. Thanks Roberto.

That's good! I was looking at the male scaleless that he and "Rob Gomez" had for sale. This was before Mr. Walker discovered the multiple personalities of the seller. (Thanks for catching that!)

I'm glad you're happy with your purchase, but also glad I didn't make one.

How long ago did you start your inquiry/transaction with him on this exact snake?
Is it a proven breeder by him?
Just curious.
