• Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Inquiry Rockabirdie- Thomas Munoz

Just as a point of reference.
Usually as soon as you file a CC fraud complaint ( that is what it boils down to) , they credit you with the amount right away while they investigate.

If for any reason the investigation goes the other way and they find it was a valid charge they WILL take the credit away and the charge will appear again.

You have to sign forms that the charge is fraudulent and they attempt to contact the other party and verify the true status.

It is a fair process as it does also defend those who have a genuine charge to a buyer and the buyer is the one who is trying to get something for nothing so it does work well both ways, trust me I have been in both situations!

Still, even if the seller doesn't advertise here, if he's selling reptiles, the herp community should be aware. A lot of people check the BOI, regardless of where they see an ad.

Thank you
I took it to be that it was a non-reptile transaction? I could be mistaken.

No, I had to make a claim on my credit card against a reptile supplier and I was credited back simply because they did not respond to the credit card issuer, I'm glad it worked out and you got your money back. Too many thieves and trolls these days.

*repetitive lameness and worn out tag lines here*

Katie, sounds to me like it was a reptile supplier, and as he said, someone he would have "ordinarily avoided", but not from Fauna and obviously he did not avoid, lol.
Likely he will NOT post on the BOI.

Lest anyone not get it, it's just a lame come-back for BobO'Booey's / Rodrick Wilkonson's insulting sig line *repetitive lameness and worn out tag lines here*.

LMAO, I ain't in any clique. I got my own little brain and I'm able to observe / comment on my own, thank you. My post was directed at Katie, and then the general public after that. Not directed at you, lol, and hardly "off topic". Have a good one O'Booey.

Not sure if any resolution was ever reached? I see that he is still selling off cages as of a earlier this month.

So Thomas is advertising on farcebook, and his last activity here was a couple days ago, BUT he didn't advertise here on Fauna, go figure.....

As long as those that get ripped off, sit back and do nothing, other than post it on the BOI, and telling others of their experience after which, they chalk it up to experience, and because no action was taken, scam artist such as Thomas Munoz, continue on with life at the expense of others.

Just my 1/3 of 6 cents.

I've had similar situations with him several years ago. Unfortunately, I deleted my yahoo account with the saved emails. He would say he wasn't able to be on the computer but then that day would have posts made, also on his personal facebook. A run down of what happened... He shipped me Ebenavia, it took several weeks to receive them from him after failed promises. Then when they did finally ship... literally one was so far dead it was black, smelly, flat, skeleton, and smelly. He claimed his son put it in there when he had him do the shipping for it. It took me almost 5 months to get a $60 return and E-mails that I had to resort to threats. At the time I had it well documented and all the E-mails saved, but again, I deleted yahoo and this was almost 7 years ago. I've heard this being a routine of his from other people. Absolutely horrible business practices and IMO a borderline scammer.
