In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Grading system

I've seen eggs in the incubator listed also.

Now that you mention it, I've seen that too. It had struck me a little silly to note eggs like that, but I don't know why; it is a simple way to note those numbers.

Could I add a fifth value for animals I'd like to keep, but can't find for sale? ;)

So... Males.Females.Unsexed.Eggs.Wishlist ???

I've never seen someone using a grading system like that. If anything, some people might grade on a scale from 1 to 10. And even that is pretty subjective. Beauty is ALWAYS in the eye of the beholder, it seems.

There is a line of anerythristic sand boas -- 'Holloway reduced pattern', 'HRP' -- that is categorized in 'levels', but there isn't any decimal position. Each snake is ranked (1-10, IIRC) basically by amount of white color (and indirectly by price ;)).

Could you link someone talking about such a grading system, or put it in context (how is this used in a sentence, what species does it refer to, etc)?

Example... I have 2 hatchling turtles available, both 1.1 From my 1.2 breading pair that are from 2015.
It maybe that the breading pair has extra scoots or something.
Also John may be right with the 1.2.4 Idk?
I have heard it may be an Asian system, again Idk
I really appreciate your help thou.

You probably need to contact the sellers using such a grading system and ask them what it represents, exactly. What are the low to high limits on their grading system? Personally, if someone were grading on a low of 1.0 to a high of 10.0 scale and selling something "graded" at 1.1 on that scale, I would look elsewhere for what I wanted. Of course, I have been to some reptile shows where I saw animals that easy rated in the negative numbers for quality. But that would be ME doing the grading on their animals, not them, I suppose. ;)

This does make me wonder what people using such an above mentioned scale thought when I would have had something like 125.130 baby Butter corn snakes for sale back in the day. :)
