    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Is Dan Wilks AKA 'TheOddBall Source' the same Dan Wilks as is AKA 'DesertFossorials'?

New (eight days prior to this posting) user @TheOddBall Source is possibly the same Dan Wilks of @DesertFossorials. This latter account hasn't been in use for a few years, but when it was active seems to have been a serial scammer. The former account is resistant to playing nice.

Those screenshots are from here, probably soon to be deleted (as these things tend to go).

Anyway, this is an 'inquiry' BOI thread, and my question is: does anyone have any clues as to whether these are one and the same Dan Wilks?
 
Well, there, we got that location info. That really didn't need to be so hard; a little cooperation would have gone a long way -- would have limited it to my initial request, and then a simple response.
 
Well I check my account and see two messages from someone who isn't an admin requesting information. So yes I wasn't too cooperative. Please delete the account I have zero interest in false accusations and slander. Respectfully, I'm out.

That's totally possible. Asking for location was the first step in my establishing who the person is; it takes some internet sleuthing sometimes to figure out who's who, and that's borderline impossible without a city and state. But it is true that the question of this thread has not necessarily been answered.

Yes, when you sell animals, sometimes people will request information from you. Sorry if you weren't aware of that common occurrence. Best to take those requests as calling for other than hostility, since not many buyers want to deal with a hair trigger seller. Be aware that the other herp classified site requires a photo of your drivers license and a photo of you in order to open a seller's account; if you go off on them they're not likely to want you around.
