Well… you all were right. What happened to the one u just got?
Damnnnnnn almost like I said would happen. Almost like we allll could have guessed. How the “different approach” working so far? Honestly tho, Underground might have just saved your life dude. I thought you “knew what you were doing ordering from them” thoWell… you all were right.
Underground Reptiles shipped my snake with four tiny holes in the box, no cold pack, on a 90-degree day — and by the time I got it, the snake was DOA.
I don’t want anything else besides Bothrops atrox once I get my money back. But I know one thing for sure: I’ll never buy from Underground again. Ever.
This whole experience was heartbreaking. I spent $40 in gas driving 5½ hours, left the house starving just to get there early, and waited in a hot car outside Delta for 2 hours… all to receive a dead snake.
I already had everything ready — a bigger bucket, a second set of tongs and hooks, an empty cage… and now I just feel defeated. I’m out $400 until they respond. Out more money for a bucket I don’t need, a cage I don’t need — and right now, I feel like I don’t even need this hobby anymore.
Funny thing is, aiden0616 said he hoped it would die before I could have it.
I guess his wish came true.
Once I got home, I confirmed the smell through the motionless bag… and yeah… I freehandled his lifeless body. I had to.
I thought I had this. I thought I was ready. But right now, I just feel like giving up completely.
I’m sorry, everyone.
Funny how people love to say “told you so” when they weren’t in the middle of it. I didn’t make decisions blindly — I made the best call I could with what I knew. It didn’t go as planned, but that doesn’t mean the whole approach was wrong. Sometimes things happen, even with the “safe” choices. So no, I’m not taking a giant step back — I’m adjusting, not quitting.Damnnnnnn almost like I said would happen. Almost like we allll could have guessed. How the “different approach” working so far? This is the biggest joke of a reply, you did go into this blindly, I told you a week before you bought that snake not to buy anything else and if you must, buy another native. You’re an ignorant, arrogant, fool that didn’t listen to any of the people that have significantly more experience with these animals than you do. You came into this cocky as hell, comparing things that have zero bearing on handling a venomous snake. Getting something as toxic as a bothrops is going to get you killed, you are simply not going to receive the lifesaving antivenom for the inevitable bite you’re going to end up with because you simply don’t have the experience. There’s a reason most bothrops are incredibly cheap - they’re deadly as fuck. I know seasoned keepers that won’t keep bothrops cause they’re psychotic and incredibly fast. They are one of the most dangerous snakes in the hobby, and you think you’re ready for one after handling 2 young <2ft snakes in a bucket and a couple times on the floor. If you’re suicidal, just say that, quit trying to get laws changed for everyone else because of your stupid decisions.Funny how people love to say “told you so” when they weren’t in the middle of it. Not everything’s black and white. Underground didn’t “save my life,” let’s not get dramatic. Things didn’t line up this time, that’s it. Doesn’t mean I’m clueless or need a life overhaul — it means I adjust and keep pushing, like always. So spare me the lecture.
Still deadset on getting a baby bothrops and gabby!
That was you mistake right there.....You don't know anything, so how could you "make the best call you could with what you knew"? You don't know ANYTHING about properly keeping and handling venomous, and when people who know WAY more then you do try to educate you, you brush them off. Sad that the snake had to suffer, but God did you a HUGE favor.Funny how people love to say “told you so” when they weren’t in the middle of it. Nah, see — this is exactly the energy that makes people stop listening. You’re so busy trying to be “right” that you lost the plot. You think screaming experience makes your opinion gospel? Cool — have your opinion. But don’t twist it into some martyr act like I’m personally out here trying to ruin the hobby. I didn’t come into this blind — I did my research, weighed the risks, and made a decision you didn’t agree with. That’s not ignorance, that’s autonomy. This is the biggest joke of a reply, you did go into this blindly, I told you a week before you bought that snake not to buy anything else and if you must, buy another native. My mistake wasn’t thinking for myself — it was thinking you were actually trying to help, not just talk down. You confuse control with concern, and that’s not my problem. You can scream all day about how much you “know,” but knowledge without respect is just arrogance — and frankly, you’re proving that better than I ever could. That was you mistake right there.....You don't know anything, so how could you "make the best call you could with what you knew"? HOLY. SHIT. You literally don’t listen…. All these different people with all these different ways of keeping and all STILL telling you you’re wrong. I swear you think you’re in some kind of edit. Acting like I’m trying to get laws changed because I’m not walking the exact path you think I should? That’s wild. I’m not suicidal — I’m calculated. You just don’t like that I didn’t bend the knee to your idea of “ready.” Respect is earned, not demanded through volume or scare tactics. So if you genuinely care, cool — have a convo, not a tantrum. Otherwise, save the dramatics.
Just seeing all this hilariousness, Im willing to bet this kid would have become the next Jeff, so many idiots these days who own a copperhead for 3 days and automatically think something like a Bothrops is a fine second additon....I cant even. Im not one to say ban someone, but children like this idiot I feel like shouldnt be allowed to keep hots, ruin it for the rest of us who keep responsibly.HOLY. SHIT. You literally don’t listen…. All these different people with all these different ways of keeping and all STILL telling you you’re wrong. I swear you think you’re in some kind of edit. You even talk like it. The arrogance is inane, I’ve never seen anything like it before. You might not be purposely trying to ruin the hobby - but you will. You’ll be on the news when this thing tags you… which comes back on the whole community. People like you who are so dead set on finding an identity and “being” someone get in over their heads with these animals all the time. They start to regret it when they end up laying in a hospital bed - wishing they would’ve just listened to people trying to prevent it from happening
Agree 100%. Someone’s always gotta ruin it.Just seeing all this hilariousness, Im willing to bet this kid would have become the next Jeff, so many idiots these days who own a copperhead for 3 days and automatically think something like a Bothrops is a fine second additon....I cant even. Because being responsible is overrated anyway. say what you say what you will but never been bitten ever! and yes only kept 3 days!!Just seeing all this hilariousness, Im willing to bet this kid would have become the next Jeff, so many idiots these days who own a copperhead for 3 days and automatically think something like a Bothrops is a fine second additon....I cant even. Lmao that wasn’t fully tailing — I was touching it from outside the cage. If you actually watched, you’d see there was zero risk involved. But hey, thanks for the free critique on something you clearly didn’t understandThis is proving our point lol. What the hell is that second video of you “tailing” that WDB? Your hooking the END of its tail then grabbing it. There was literally NOTHING preventing that thing from whipping back around and snagging your lmao
You literally posted that exact video on your Facebook saying you were “tailing” him. That’s why I quoted you….Lmao that wasn’t tailing — I was touching it from outside the cage.
