    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Playing with the excavator

I think this thing will dig down something like 7 or 8 feet, if I remember correctly. I have dug several holes here just playing around, but the only thing I have dug up is sand, sand, and, well, MORE sand. But I do think there are patches of clay here and there on my property. Would be great to dig up a giant fossil shark tooth one of these days. There are evidently lots of fossils in this area.

I go to random rivers to look for minerals and sometimes I get super curious if you were to suddenly scoop out and sift throu a stadium sized hole if there would be anything interesting.

"Stadium sized hole"? Man, that would be a full time job and would have to take place on your own private property. Much more work than I would be willing to do. I live on 50 acres and such a hole would pretty much upend my entire property. Can't say I would be willing to do something like that. Afterwards all I would have is a huge mess on my hands. Probably only ending up with rusted car parts people had dumped a long time ago.

Oh I am aware. Id never actually do it because of all that entails with it. But I do wish we had a way to see whats underground without needing to mess it all up. 🫣
