    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Sad but true, Jay - common sense is definitely not so common anymore.

As far as our routines, we'll always stick to this plan because quite simply it works and is not even difficult to manage in a small, home based breeding situation. Just routines and rules really but it has given us the results we want - no illnesses, no mites, no nothing - just healthy snakes and happy us. :)

I sent another email on Sep 8th asking again if the items were shipped. I have yet to get a response from her. I know she's been on the internet because every once in a while I see her pop on the Yahoo IM.

I reluctantly initiated a PayPal dispute on 9/16, and then escalated it to a claim on 9/19 after still receiving no reply from the message sent to her via that avenue.

What bothers me the most is I never said a bad word towards or about her, and I was trying to help her out by buying some of the items that she no longer needed. Can I live without the $27, sure. But to have this done by a person I had a certain amount of respect for after the trials she went through over the past year just exasperates me.

Wow john, i really thought that you had not had any problems with this. I remember speaking with you about this when you asked if i had spoken to her awhile ago, since she hadnt contacted you in a bit. Im surprised you waited so long, and so patiently.... But i figured with no word at all, that you ended up talking to her and all was well...

She used the exact same wording in her ads here and on SK -- if she didn't pull the ads go check -- she just copy and pasted it on the forums so it was easy to spot on CL. :thumbsup:
 
SK=the Snakekeeper forum -- but a quick scan looks like she pulled the originals and put up a more detailed one -- but how coincidental would it be that there would be someone in her neck of the woods with the exact same stuff for sale? :shrug01:

OK - so in all fairness I'm not 100% certain - I guess you'd have to email her from the CL ad - otherwise I'm going on memory of the ads with the rodent cages.

I tried to wait until I was sure that I was getting screwed. Rest assured if it was more than $27 I would have been on it like white on rice :rofl:.

Not a thing Alan. She never responded to the craigslist inquiry, so I'm quite sure she's still lurking here reading the posts. She probably cleaned out her PayPal account too so I won't get a refund.
Pretty depressing...I'd expect this kind of thing from some people, but not from Jen.

I guess she really doesn't care what people think of her anymore.
 
It looks like the last time she was here was a month ago .. 8/25.

I hate to admit it, but I'm not surprised, John. I have no facts, no evidence, no dealings or correspondence to back my opinion...it's just a gut feeling I've had since her "good guy" thread took it's sharp turn. I wouldn't even be surprised if you see her around in the future getting back into snakes. I don't mean that it would be a bad thing if she did, but I don't actually see her leaving the snake breeding/selling/trading for good, as she stated was her intention so many times.

Just my gut talking ... not fact. At any rate, I'm sorry she would treat a fellow herper so poorly.
 
Back on 9/27, Jen sent me an email, again apologizing for the delay, and she supplied a USPS tracking number, but said that PayPal wasn't allowing her to input the number. I waited and up until this last Saturday (10/4), the number still didn't register with the USPS, but yesterday it did show an acknowledgement. Today I got my package from Jen. She included a note apologizing again for the constant delays, and offered compensation by including with the shipment a heat cable, bene-bac, and some de-wormers.

I'd like to thank Jen for making this right. It grieved me to have to submit a PayPal claim in the first place, knowing what kind of hell she is/has been going through (whether it be her own making or otherwise), and I do appreciate the gesture of sending more than was agreed upon.
 
In my boredom tonight, I began cleaning out my absurdly long list of bookmarked pages, and came across the one for my BOI thread. So I ventured back here to see if any other drama was stirred up. John, I want to again deeply apologize for the long delay in getting your items to you. I can't even begin to go into what hell the last few months have been (15-day eviction notice anyone? How about a psycho ex that's out of the military and living with your parents?). As an update to the virus thing -- still nothing new from Dr. J. or Dr. G. No idea if they're even still working on it or if they even care to continue the research. They don't contact me, I don't contact them. I don't particularly care anymore. Spoon and the g-stripe are still doing just fine, eating and being normal snakes. For those that want to continue to act like I'm on some devious mission -- I AM DONE WITH SNAKES. PERIOD. If I wasn't, I would have taken in some of the really kickass animals I was offered by a lot of people -- but I didn't, not a single one. I wouldn't have frozen my clown or my rare kingsnakes either, but they were in that pile just like the rest of them. I have ZERO desire to have anything to do with reptiles any more. I haven't been to any forums in what seems like forever, never look at the classifieds anymore, don't talk to a single person in the reptile community (or anyone that even owns a reptile), and loathe cleaning the snake cage here at home. I don't even think about my old hobby any more -- my focus is on my new relationship, my daughter, my career, and my school. The last few items I had left (John's items) are gone, and I will never keep or breed snakes again. After Spoon and Jack (the g-stripe) live out their lives, I will never own another snake. I barely have much to do with these two as it is -- I feel sick when I look at them. But they're living beings that are lucky to have survived and I'm all they have left, so I owe it to them to continue to care for them. I'm done, so please leave me alone now. Nothing I say or do affects any one of you anymore. Good luck with your projects and I hope none of this happens to any of you.
 
Jen, I'm so sorry to hear about your incredibly hard times. Best of luck to you in the future and all of your new endeavors. :)
