In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I fell in love with a species I have never considered before. A 1.1 pair of unrelated Dumeril's boas from Southwest Wisconsin Reptiles.
Jim was an awesome guy and when we made him a deal, I rezlized my credit card was missing so he fronted me the pair based on the word of a couple of my ball buddies he knew that I would paypal him when I got home. Paypal sent and I'm happy!
Keep it up Jim

I have to agree, he is a good guy. Friendly and has great animals. I have bought many animals from him, and many of my friends as well. Always a happy customer :)

Gotta agree with you there. Jim and I have done many shows together and he is always good for some laughs, good advice, and great animals. Definitely one of the good guys.

I have purchased 10 Ball Pythons from Jim and the transaction couldn't have gone smoother. I will definitely purchase from him again and can't wait to prove the hets I bought and report back to the BOI! Thanks Jim!

Great Guy

I met Jim at the Daytona expo in 2003. Since then I have bought many Ball Pythons from him and I have not had a problem with one. Jims animals are great and he is a very kind and honest person. I will definately be buying more animals from him in the future.

Thanks,
Travis Whisler

I have nothing but good things to say about Jim!!!!
I've gotten over 50 snakes from him over the past 2 years.
I've also bought some of his used mouse and snake racks.
Wonderful person to deal with and he's answered all my questions and more. In my opinion he has some of the nicest animals around and very fair prices.
He's the reason I have so many Ball pythons LOL.

Great guy

I got a spider ball python from him. Wonderful snake, awesome eater and at a good price.

We have bought about 300 snakes from Jim this summer and all have been exceptional quality and flawless feeders. He is a great guy, and has excellent quality animals.

I bought a female het albino ball python from Jim about two years ago. Then I traded it for a pair of timor monitors. Next thing I know I have the guy at the other end of the trade yelling at me because what I traded him was a MALE. So I had to return the timor monitors. Upset me very much.

Why some people do NOT like fauna

I was called by a friend this morning. He told me to go look at Fauna BOI. I was there on the front page. He explained that it was a negative post. So I stopped my days feeding to take a look. I was little upset. I have tried to give 110% customer service in the past twenty years.
So I sent a personal message to PSLSNAKES. I asked if he had a problem why would he not contact me? Also why he would just make a negative post? I asked when, and where he had made the purchase?
Well I get the following response to my PM

I'm sorry, but I've never bought a snake from you. That post was an atempt with mess with me, by a friend. I guess I upset him over something, and he had my account details. I've checked the posts made by my account, and it was not me that posted it.

You can quote this in the thread, and I will post that it was a flase statement not made by me.

Thanks.

So this why I have problem with the BOI at times. When called out. This person says he did NOT even make a purchase from me. How can this happen?

Now I am sure I have offended some here. If so I am very sorry. Back to feeding and clean. Once again I thank ALL of my customers. I would NOT have a successful business with out all of you! If you are not a customer? Stop by and take a look at our table. Hope to see many of you in Tinley Park this weekend again.

I'll add my props to Jim's thread as well -- I did a trade with him this year and everything was smooth sailing - excellent communication, and the animals are stellar

Once again, the post in question was not made by me.

As said before, a friend has my account information, and is posting under my username. I'm sorry for all inconveinences. (sp?)

To straighten things out, Doug is at my house here for the Tinley Park show. He was logged on earlier and I guess he forgot to log out and I didn't look who's username it was under. So I'm sorry for that, Doug was not responsible.

I traded an 07 het albino female for two timor monitors then found out it was a male. Jim, I attempting calling you but never got an answer. So I just left it.

Would you mind signing your full name to your posts, as required for posting on the BOI, so we will know who you are?

Anthony

You are the young man who helps Ron Billingsley at shows. I just saw and talked to you in Daytona at the meet and greet the first day. I would have thought that you would have mentioned this then. Rather than trying to stick a knife in my back here using someone else's name. If I remember correctly. I even gave you a Pastel male to use for free. It was the first year you were trying to start breeding. I asked for nothing back in return. Just so everyone here knows this also. I am a vendor at the Lake County show. It is held in the Chicago area where Anthony lives.
So once again no good deed goes unpunished!

Jim is a class act.

Jim is one of the good guys. I have several of his animals in my collection. I have no doubt that given the chance Jim would make good to you. This post to me is a little out of line. I understand your frustration for sure. I have purchased animals in the past (not from Jim), raised them for 3 years only to discover I have 2 males. Yes the breeder made an error, but some of it I take the blame for for not double checking myself. I know you didn't have your ball for 3 years but the premise is the same. Jim was at a show in Omaha, Nebraska this weekend so is it not possible that he was either driving, sleeping, or putting snakes away from a show weekend? I am positive that he would have contacted you as soon as he received the message, email, etc. Patience is a virtue (I know how you feel. Its a virtue I don't have a lot of either :)) Give Jim the chance, everyone deserves that. And remember that no one is perfect and everyone has an off day. Take care.

Yes, and I returned him when my other pastel started breeding.

We barely talked in Daytona. You asked me how I got down there, I told you Ron drove me down and you just shook your head and did not look at me again.

First of all, it doesn't matter that you returned the animal once yours started breeding. What matters is that Jim Stelpflug sent you the male Pastel without asking for anything in return. This goes to show that Jim cares very much about his customers and their success. If he didn't care, he wouldn't have sent you the male Pastel in the first place. As for the mis-sexed animal, that was obviously an honest mistake. It happens to everyone, even the front runners in the business. Rather you were posting on your account or someone elses account, you should have talked to Jim about this matter first. I can assure you that he would have done more than enough to make it right. This is just my opinion, but I think that you'll find that many people will agree with me.

By the way Jim, the male Clown that I got from you in Daytona is doing great. He has already shed twice and is the strongest feeding animal that I own. Thanks for such a great animal and a smooth transaction.

I too have purchased a couple bp's from Jim here in the last few weeks at the Iowa show and in K.C., the animals I bought are flawless, perfectly healthy and feed every time offered. I WILL be hitting his table at Tinley this weekend and plan to make a couple more purchases from him. Good Guy in my book.
