In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Take it easy! You only got them four days ago, tried feeding them yesterday and they showed no interest, so you tried feeding them today...
Let them settle in for at least a week to ten days before attempting to feed them again. They are probably STRESSED OUT.

Make sure that they have clean water, a secure hide, temps are good, and leave them alone!
After they have settled in, it would be best to offer them whatever they were eating before you got them for a meal or two before trying to convert them to what is best for you.

ok. i didnt really think about leaving them alone to get use to there surrondings. but deff ill try that out and thank you.

Get a couple of books (research the word "ball pythons"). There's a whole lot to be learned about them and it's a good idea for you to have a readily available resource and use experienced breeders and reinforcement, and back up to explain what you don't understand.

Finding out what you need to KNOW is easier.

Hello

Hello,

I agree, books are a good tool to use for reference so I recommend getting one to help you out with overall knowledge of Ball Pythons.
Also, keep in mind, that they they may have eaten a few days prior to being shipped out as well. So that could be another reason why they are not hungry, too.
They will take a week or two in order to settle in & get used to their tank & their surroundings.
Good luck, & enjoy your snakes.

That might be one of the problems. Keeping them together can cause stress. Stress causes BP's to refuse to eat.

:iagree: Try, as best you can to seperate them. Also, it is a good idea to start them with what they were eating before. I have worked with a couple of my animals for a year and a half to get them to switch to what I wanted. It takes some time but it can be done. But they must eat something between now and then.

What are the temps (hot side - cool side)?
What substrate are you using?
How many (if any) hides are in there and how large are they?

Shawn,

Here are just a few suggestions to try and help you out. It sounds like you jumped the gun and got these animals before you were prepared with proper housing and information to provide the proper basic care. I know money is an issue for everyone right now so here are a few suggestions to get you started.

Go to Wal-Mart and purchase seven sterilite tubs and drill vent holes in them.(I burn holes in them with a soldering needle.)
6qt tubs are $1 and can hold baby snakes until about 150g.
12qt tubs are like $4 and can hold snakes between 150g and 400g.
28qt tubs are like $7 and are good for snakes between 400g and 1100g+.
and 41qt tubs are like $9 and are good for snakes over 1100g+.

Get a digital thermometer with probes and make sure your temps are good.

Provide a good hide. I use 2"x3", and 3"x4" PVC reducer fittings for smaller snakes. They are easy to clean, have the hole on top and are only like $2. - $3. each. If that is too much you can buy a bag of 50 styrofoam bowls for like $3 near the paper plates and stuff. Just cut a hole in the bowl and Blamo.

Make sure they have fresh water and that the tubs are clean. Other than that leave them alone for 7-10 days and try offering them the same prey that they were eating before you got them.

Best of Luck.

hot side is at 88 and the cold side is about 79.

The 20 gallon has two caves and its water bowl. and the 10 gallon one has to logs in it and then the water bowl. its not crowded in them.

Damn,
I was thinking you picked up seven CH, or maybe even CB normals man. Guess you didn't need the PM's on setting up a cheap temporary rack system...lol.

I can't believe you would purchase a Caramel, two Ghosts, and a Normal and throw them all in a 20 gallon aquarium. If you want those high end animals to thrive for you I suggest you read as much as possible quickly.

Best of Luck.

BTW, what are the other three BP's?
