In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I'm very new to this world of reptiles alot of you dweel in and I'm sure there are others like me can somebody or body's lend some info on who to see at Hamburg for not anything inpaticular I'm looking for balls mainly? I will see most of whats there because I'm making most of a day out of it but if the true conosures had a hour and had to pick 3-5 tables to visit who would you see? Feel free to not just try to help me but anything that might be there for any taste? Thanks to all and all have a great night!!

Thanks Greg

An hour to visit 3-5 tables? I've been in, completed 2 full circuits, made my purchases, and am walking out the door in that time, lol (not always - depends on my mood...if I'm in a rush, I set my filters high and go). If I'm having a meandering, check it all out, kind of day, AND there is a decent selection, I can manage to keep somewhat interested for 3-4 hrs.

My degree of interaction with vendors (even the ones I know) depends on the day...if people are buying, I don't like to occupy their time - I keep conversation on point, and mostly limited to something I want. If it seems to be a window shoppers day, I might shoot the breeze for a while...as long as there are no customers waiting. (I know I will walk away from a table, if a vendor ignores me because he is BSing with his buddies - talking to a customer is one thing, I'll wait my turn).

As for BPs, you really can't limit yourself that way. If you focus on a couple of names, you'll likely miss out on something - whether it be a special animal, or a great deal. I'll be there, and looking for a few things...and I'm not as inclined to walk around til everything I want is sold, like I did last time (willpower tests suck, lol)

For everyone who went today,

What did you bring home? I'm working on getting pictures. I'll post them as soon as I get a chance.

I stayed longer than I had planned, mainly because it took so long to find a parking space and get inside (if it wasn't such a long drive, I would have just turned around and left). I almost brought home an exceptionally nice black blood female, but I don't need any new projects. Found a blondish blood girl that was the closest I have found for pairing up with a male I have...but she wasn't close enough to spend money (besides - a skinny CH from somebody I don't know doesn't compel me to drop my $$ on the table).

I thought I saw you as I was heading for the door....if it was you, you're taller than I thought (I didn't know I had any preconceptions about your height, lol, but that was my thought when I saw the person that may have been you)

I thought it was really cool but wow I've seen cattle crammed in bigger spaces that was a wreck they need about another 3000sq feet!! I had my little girl with me and man I thought I might have to revert to those mosh pitting days to get some air down to her LOL. It was a good show I thought but I'm a virgin well was but HH you said some thing in a post about vendors huddled in the back I noticed a lot of this maybe you and Ed had better luck but you have been around the scene a lot longer than I. Well maybe I shouldn't say a lot but at the booths I wanted stuff from. I was at one both four times because they had three animals I wanted to bring home and you would think after seeing back again and again someone might say what can I help you with but not a boo I was really put off and after about 10 minutes of standing there watching them converse among themselves I thought even if they do talk to me now no way !! They were males anyway and right now I need females! I probably could have yelled back and said something but I don't go to McDonald's and yell to the staff to get a burger you know what I mean? So unfortunately I came home empty handed but did learn some stuff and thought it was very cool and got to see some hings I might want to work on for project's!! I'm interested to see the Central Pa show at that new building in Carlisle looks very nice and if they get lots of vendors should be a great show.

Yeah Ed it was nice to meet you I will be going to more shows! There is some stuff I need to pick up yet for my projects well don't need but now my itch is worse!! So we will need to get together a run around at one by the way I did find a male hypo 06 (butterscotch/yellow breeding from Adam at 8ball) I hope he works with that female het I got from you that's the thing with hypo's though at least I should have some very compatible het's if not!! How did George handle the trip I hope all went well let me know how he is doing and if you ever get a little daddy look alike out of him he is awesome and it was my pleasure to have him here a few days. These girl's don't miss a opportunity to eat and are doing great thanks again!! The pastel was 944 grams full or half empty last night and the het was 1422!! I will keep in touch and let you know whats going on!!

HH if you thought you saw me I was wearing a bright green t that said may the forest be with you and walking around with a little girl? But I think you were talking to Ed!!

I know exactly what your talking about (lol) I would like to know....they had to be past the limit for number of people allowed in that building they had to be. I love the show and would have bought stuff myself. I was looking at cages and other items this time to save on shipping. But after 5 minutes of being in there the extra I'll pay in shipping is worth it. I almost made 3 rows and left. Great show but either they need better flow control or bigger building in my opinion.

Greg, the het hypo I sent you should be compatible with almost all Ghosts out there, a NERD orange ghost would have been the perfect mate. but a butterscotch will also work.

George Clooney was happy to be back home and ate a small rat the second it hit the cage floor. when I opened the box to take him out he looked at me as if WTF, he was rattled cause he was never been in a box before and has always been treated like the king that he is.

Awesome Ed there is no place like home that is great to hear!! That box I had to make at the last minute worked ok he was nice and toastie I hope!! I'm tossing around that Woma and Black pastel you have right now trying to fit them into my plans somehow the do look really good as well and you know I've been thinking about that Woma for a while!! After seeing a couple of the black pastel's down there yesterday I think I need one that was one of those things I was waiting on!! I saw another bigger female listed somewhere that is a little darker which is what I'm really after but I will let you know shortly!! Even if I get the other black that womas still on my radar with all the females I have now!! Yeah I know nerd was the way to go but I thought I had a nerd male but my ball had no balls LOL oh well in my case can't have to many girls around!!

The congestion is almost impossible at Hamburg, they just keep adding more tables and the aisles keep getting smaller and smaller.

Ita a great show where everyone meets to talk herps. with some hard core herpers that really know their soup.

I know people that will not go there anymore because of the way its set up .........its more geared to the promoter makeing money than creature comforts for the visitors that come and spend their money there.

Yeah - I guess that was you then...I almost called out but, at that point, I just wanted to be gone. I had already stretched my tolerance by staying in there for two hours.

Yeah, I start out polite & wait...but if I want something and am being ignored, one of two things happen: I speak up, or I leave. Like I said before - I don't like to waste a vendor's time, or distract him/her from other customers. If an animal I am interested in is in a container that doesn't allow for good visualization, I'll ask permission to open it for a better look. I don't handle anything unless I am very seriously considering a purchase (I actually had that baby black blood in my hands, and was SOOOO close to dropping the cash...but then my little voice reminded me that I don't need any more projects, and I have to sell some that are of decreasing interest to me. Maybe in the summer, Joel)
