These are the claims she brought to the BOI. She is now a bad gal because she wouldn't admit to being a "webslut"?

First post she stated that Sloan was trying to get her and others to buy from Jim.
Sloan stated the same on the other site and has threatened such to Jim on this very site. You can read the thread Home Grown Herps started to know why. It was already known and threatened before.

Her second claim is that she and her children are being threatened. You keep stating there is no proof. I state there is. I think that it would be harder to find someone who has disagreed with sloan that hasn’t been threatened. After years of seeing it, I would be biased and give that benefit to whomever claimed it.

That’s her claims. However it was important to you to know how she ended up getting free snakes. She didn't ask for validation and may have lied about a "relationship" or "sex games". She is now a scammer. Let's look at these probing questions that makes her scum and others might think she is a good gal if they didn't know about it.

Funny how you think people considering doing business with her should know these particular facts (pictures and such) and she should be called a whore because of it. I've been in a similar situation as angelrose. (Please note that absolutely NO pictures of an obscene nature were exchanged)

Basically what happened was that I talked to someone online for over a year. HE then decided that he wanted to be with me. No he didn't send me anything, and if he had, I wouldn't have accepted it. No, he sent himself. he managed to get my address (through people we both know that lived in my city) and came to my home. As scary as that was, it doesn't compare to what happened later.

He attempted to get a job at my university so he could "keep an eye on me", and told my family that he was going to marry me and father children with me. The only way I managed to get away from him was when he went home, to tell him I was moving out of the country to continue my education in my chosen major, and then proceeded to block him from anything I could think of. No police reports were filed, because thankfully, it hadn't got to "Bob Sloan bad".

Basically, what my point is, is that a woman doesn't have to be a "webslut" to get attention. As far as we know, she didn't send him ANY pictures of herself nude, or semi nude. That was an assumption based on her photobucket. Just because she has it there, doesn't mean she sent anything. Now, I'm not defending her, just the notion that a woman doesn't need to be a whore in order to have bat shit crazies going after her. I know I wasn't.

Though, Deb, I can understand where you're coming from. However, there are many other considerations than "who sent who what pictures". The main concerns here are that:
- Sloan threatened her, and her children. (I don't care if she "may not have kids". That point is irrelevant. What is relevant is that the threats were in fact, made.)
- Sloan sent snakes, and it is believed that he sent them as gifts. As far as I know, this hasn't been proven otherwise.

I think that threatening kids is a terrible thing to do. I also think that everyone should be entitled to protection from that sort of threat.
Different cultures work in different ways. Flirtation in some cultures s a way of life and I just don't see that flirtation, or cyber sex, or even real sex should excuse threats to one's children.
I am puzzled that in some circles when a woman complains of threats and harrassment, all of a sudden SHE is the culprit, SHE must have asked for it, SHE led him on.

What gets me is I’m conservative compared to many standards. I wouldn’t post half the stuff some do but I don’t hold my values against them. I wouldn’t get as explicit as some of my friends here on the forums when it comes to some of the “fun” threads but I also don’t care that they do. The fact that my views are more conservative than Deborah's in respect to those types of discussions makes it “funny” to me that I have to be more liberal in accepting them and what the OP may have done that is below Deborah's standards. I don’t condone anything she may have done as far as sending pictures or having adult conversations. I’m just not going to condemn her based on it regardless if someone thinking that it is important that she may have showed some skin to someone that also sent her snakes she didn’t ask for. I still don’t care. Which is really “funny” considering my personal beliefs would put Deborah more on the same level as this girl for things she has stated, If I tried to hold her to my standards and make judgments on what I find acceptable or proper, which I wouldn’t do. Nor would I hold it against them for thinking different things are appropriate and believing certain discussions are healthy and fun. Slippery slope when try to control those types of morality discussion issues and what is appropriate or not.. You should set them for yourself and not force them on others. When you start finding problems with others, someone might start finding problems with yours.

Although I understand everyones concern for the children -- I get where Deborah is coming from (I think) -- how are we to know whether there is a legitimate concern for children or if the children were a made up part of her scam? Either initially with him or secondary to gather BOI sympathy? Maybe she didn't ask for the snakes -- but come on -- women know how to ask for thing without "asking" for things - certainly if there were communications of the private nature that could imply she was trying to solicit something. If she's got kids and there is a definite threat she should go to the police and just to shut Deb up send her some proof and be done with it. I totally agree.

No matter what the situation is that has gotten Lisa/Marissa here there is NO WAY to blame her for the psychotic addiction that Sloan has with her. There is NO excuse for the threats, harassment and stalking that Sloan has perpetrated. Any of us can make bad decisions.. That does not make it OK for someone to threaten our lives and that of our families. I have made mistakes in my life but if that ended up in someone saying that they were watching my parents/siblings/children - that is inexcusable. I for one don't give a what she did or said - there is NO situation that would make it OK for him to threaten her the way he is.

What if you read tomorrow that he has killed her or her kids? How would you sleep? Does it matter if she has naked pics on line? What if those pics were something he posted to make her less reliable? You have no idea if he posted these pics saying they were her.. People will do this.. I see it every day. And I see that the authorities don't believe the claims and I have ssen people end up dead because of it. I, for one, would rather be safe than sorry. I don't care if she told him she loved him and BEGGED for the animals.. It makes me sick to see people bash her for coming here looking for help. If she's lying than the police will figure it out, but when it comes to life and death threats, that is NOT the place of the BOI to be judge and jury - and for those of you who keep blaming her for whatever happens, her and her family's blood will be on your hands. As far as the email she sent regarding changing her name - I would change my name too if some freak was talking about stalking me and my family. I don't know anyone that wouldn't. What scares me is that she sent the email then that plea was posted here asking for help to have her info hidden so now it is here forever for anyone to find/read. Maybe her name was fake on the other site and true here. What if that was her last hope for keeping her and her family safe? Perhaps it is a lie. But what if it wasn't? Who's conscience will that lie on?

Even if she has a safe place for her and her kids, what's to say he won't go after her parents or siblings? Doesn't seem like he's the kind of guy to draw lines. And some of you have offered to be intermediaries ("send me the money and he can get it from me"), if he is antisocial - as has been suggested - then who's to say he won't target your families as well? It's sad that the authorities won't take this seriously.

I work with people all the time who are doing everything they can to keep themselves and their families safe. What if they are lying or stretching the truth? I, for one, would rather be safe than sorry.

I almost apologized for the diatribe, but I can't. I think it is something that people so easily gloss over or blame on the "victim", yet the victim could be anyone - and in this situation, any of us who is calling out Sloan for the sadistic, spineless predator that he is...

I posted the info on Marissa Miller AKA angelrose because I saw this relationship develop from the start about four months ago on RG. At first, they were posting comments all could read, then they went private. They also took it to thetegu.com and kept it public. She told sloan many, many times she loved him and was going to move there to be with him. The reason for this post is because I saw Sloan post on many ocassions that he was in no way making any threats to her or her kids. He stated many times specifically that he would never come to her house, come near her or her kids at any time. These posts were deletes yesterday by Marissa. Now granted sloan is a physco, but this chick is his female counterpart. She was telling him and everyone else she was in love with him and she did ask for the snakes. This was also posted on thetegu.com but deleted. It looks like to me two things: the people on here have such a hatred for Sloan - they missed that this chick is a net whore and scammer of men. I think it is a can't see the forest for the trees thing. And second, she has been allowed to violate every rule on the BOI by having two accounts in different names and she now has dropped off the planet when serious questions are asked. I also do not condone threats to anyone - let alone children, but there were many posts that Sloan made stating very clearly he was not threatening her or her kids. Yesterday Marissa had her daughter - Celeste - also a member of both thetegu and RG - post in a direct reply to Sloan and say that she thought the snakes were gifts ! Now if Marissa really thought there were threats on her kids why would she have her 12 year old daughter contact him ??? It just does not ad up. Hate sloan all you want but the next man that gets scammed may be you if you are single. After all - finding a girl to put up with a huge snake collection ain't that easy !

In short, it is a service that lets you surf the net anonymously. It hides your real IP address, what ISP you are using, etc.

The proxy server is basically a go between. You connect to the proxy and then the proxy connects to the sites you tell it to. So the site you tell the proxy to connect to only sees the proxys information and not yours.
