    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

DEFINITELY not holding my breath. His only consistency so far is not taking care of his obligations. But a girl can dream, right?

It's still a little surreal to me that this has taken the path it has. Something that had so much support from the reptile community, that has now clearly turned into one of the biggest disappointments. It's just......amazing, in such a bad way. :nonod:

Debbie, I know the feeling, especially as the one who started this thread. We NEVER expected this to become as huge as it is, and never realized that the issue we faced was just the beginning. We figured $750 wasn't EVER going to turn into such a fiasco, but we are glad that we DID decide to be stubborn and bring our issue public to bring David Young out for who he really is.
 
The sad thing is.... If he would have done it right and had some ethics and integrity this thing would have been HUGE. The principal was sound.... gather up the herp community and get discounts for volume shipping.

You say if he'd done this with ethics and integrity that it could have been HUGE and the principal was sound. Maybe so. I'd like to think so. BUT...perhaps the entire concept of Reptster came about because he wasn't being honest about it in the first place. If he'd been ethical and honest, he never could have built Reptster because FedEx would not have ever allowed him to ship for third parties the way he did.

I think he worked his ass off to find some sort of loophole or other means to get around FedEx's very specific shipping procedures....promoted the hell out of his plan and made it sound like FedEx was fully aware and on board with what he was doing. Whatever trick he used worked for a few months, but eventually caught up with him.

So anyhow....that's my speculative take on where things are now. Had David been a man of integrity from the get-go....Reptster may never have gotten off the ground to begin with. Was a sweet idea, though.... :rolleyes: Maybe someday a real businessman can do it right.

At this point, even if he suddenly comes through with a UPS/Reptster partnership, I wouldn't trust it to ship second-hand underwear.
 
We are still owed about $300.00 from reptster when they started. You were able to print labels, but were charged for them even if they did not go out. It was supposed to be resolved MONTHS ago, and still nothing. Lots of check promises and nothing. Oh well, was a phenomenal idea, worked great, but the small technicalities have not been fixed. I really think one day it will be up and running with whichever carrier, just not anytime soon. Hopefully everyones problems will be resolved??

The Admin has stated that all waiting on credits can post there as long as it remains polite. That the thread will remain until David addresses them. To my knowledge David hasn't made a single post in regards to those waiting for credits.

Ya know....I can kinda-sorta-maybe understand someone's argument when they say they won't discuss business matters on the BOI because of the hostile atmosphere that is often perceived. (I think that's a foolish stance to take, but can sort of see where they may be coming from) However....it's extremely telling when he won't even address these issues on HIS OWN forum where his own staff can control how nice everyone must play.

Definitely one of those things that makes you go "hmmmmmmmmmmm....."
 
Dave Young has me on the hook with FedEx, for a shipment of BRB's to him, ON HIS FEDEX ACCOUNT.. Whelp, I just got the bill!!!!! Phone call to D Young with no answer... I have to admit that I will/would never do business with someone like him again.. FYI, don't ship to anyone on their shipping account, why, some may ask, I know plenty of you do, but for those that don't, or are small and things matter, YOU GET THE BILL, like me, when they are delinquent, default, losing, or whatever their excuse was or is.. Dave Young, don't know if you are reading this or not, but if you were even in remote driving distance, well, I be lovin knowin I was on my way to meet you in person to "shake your hand" and say thanks alot for this second dramatic hurdle with you.. Thanks..

Wait, Tom, didn't you ship via Reptster before the shut down of the FedEx shipping? This is so beyond wrong to happen to you.
Is FedEx giving YOUR account any issues because of this?
And is the bill you received in Reptster's name or David Young's name? I am just curious because if it is in David's name personally, that could mean a few things here...

1. Both the Reptster.com and Mr. Young's accounts are delinquent
2. Mr. Young never truly registered the business correctly with FedEx, and the whole deal was going through his name
3. FedEx out a hold on BOTH accounts (assuming Mr. Young has one of his own)

And probably a few more things I can't think of right now.

I personally would be going onto the forum on his site and posting this information as well, to let the community over there know exactly what happened to you, as it could very well happen to them if they shipped through him in that time period as well.

Just one more thing to show what ethics Mr. Young does, or better yet, does NOT have. How many people are going to continue to support him after THIS? How many more things will it take for everyone to see what is going on here with this guy?
 
Where does it end with this guy? How many people and companies has this guy ripped off? It seems every couple of days a new person is coming forward. No real surprise to me though.

When I seen Neil Golli at the Indy show this past weekend I was sure hoping to see some of those Riptster folks too. No such luck. Would have truly enjoyed getting to talk to those fools.

This makes me laugh. Especially because I have called and emailed him multiple times with no response. His Mod did get back to me and has been helpful, but even he seems to have no contact with him at this point. Regardless, my dispute with my CC company was started on friday. Maybe if David actually returned calls or emails he could have avoided that.

Everyone that has a charge on their bill from the Repster situation, should charge back IMMEDIATELY, in my opinion.

It appears that he's trying to stall people past any deadlines of charge backs, or until he gets his own affairs (money) to a safe place that can't be touched.

I bet a lot will continue to support him. There are way too many people that just don't care if there is a possibility of saving a buck.
Where's Al from Big Daddy's and Terry from the Dicksy Reptile Show? I am sure they think this is just the wolfpack going after an innocent person.
David is scum and anyone who even thinks of supporting him after this fiasco is no better than he is.

I just wanted to announce that Sunday will be my last day here as Admin.

I don't want to leave the members and anyone hanging here, but I don't know what else I can offer you as forum Admin. I'll remain until Sunday and continue to assist as much as I can. I wanted to give Reptster and all the members a few days heads up before stepping down. We here have tried everything to reach David and get him to address, or give us the information to address, all forms of questions, concerns, claims, update users and the community, etc, etc. I don't know what else I can do at this point. Without any communication or information from ownership; I do not feel I can service Reptster or it's users/members effectively. I truly hope David reads this at some point and tries to work things out; we're more than willing to help Reptster/David and take one step at a time on what needs to get done here. What this will take is David's undivided attention and wanting to work things through for his customers/users/community! I do not have a single problem with David personally, and I hope this is not taken as such, but I do not know what else to do at this point?!

I really do hope David wakes up and starts dealing with the issues and members here! Well, there is what six or seven reports of outright theft. One would hope their current position is different.
