In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Inquiry Rare Pythons in Niagara Falls NY

Well, I for one am a bit impressed by RarePython's responses here. If he's a scammer he's at least one with the decency to act professional. :p
I don't know much about ball python morphs and whether they're being intentionally misrepresented or not, but on the GM issue I think it's kind of funny someone thinks it would be horribly traumatizing for a snake to glow in the dark (note, GFP critters don't usually glow in the dark but rather only under UV light). Unless this person is a naturalist who hates ALL aberrant morphs, I can't see a GFP snake being any more "traumatized" than an albino, yellow, etc one :p

The main issue is how it's done; you usually have to destroy hundreds, if not thousands of embryos to get the one where the gene inserts correctly. But if someone did it properly and legally, more power to them.

Just because one can appear professional doesn't mean he is -- so you've fallen for his deception -- go spend a couple grand on one of his $10 snakes and let me know how professional you feel he is.

I can see how one might miss that probability that turning a nocturnal animal into a lightbulb might be traumatizing to it

You are funny! Despite explicitly stating I knew nothing about whether his stock were INTENTIONALLY misrepresented (not arguing that they are misrepresented, even) you say I have been taken in by a scammer!

I still wish more actual professionals could respond to things as nicely as rarepythons does. Whatever's going on with him, doesn't mean his presentation here can't be a model of how one can conduct oneself when questioned.

Mostly I just wanted to chuck in my 2c on the GM issue, which is a science and ethics area I'm pretty interested in, whether or not Rarepythons is actually doing anything on this.

Ah, and I see you persist in the myth that a GFP snake produces it's own light, rather than reflecting UV light green. :shrug01:

Just because a thief is polite while they steal from you, doesn't mean it's not stealing.
The "morphs" shown are patently not morphs, yet are listed as such. He's also lied about what he carried, what he produced, etc. And doesn't refer to those items when he responds. So ask directly.

Why does the website refer to you producing so many snakes, when you only had some WC gravids, and a few hets?
Why are so many morphs listed with pictures of patently normal animals?
Why do you have a normal undersized snake listed as a morph proven breeder?
If you are such successful breeder who produced so many animals, why are you flipping someone elses "morphs"?
To me, it looks like you are selling the WC gravids from last year as morphs, when they are not. Trying to get top dollar for normal snakes.

And to the one that said "Provide the $500 to get me there and I'll visit the facility".. when did you offer to pay the other guy's trip expenses? I'm glad that you DO understand that not everyone can drop life to go visit a scammer's hobbyfarm. It would be nice to have someone reputable look at his facility, but it wouldn't prove much other than he might have a nicely set up scam spot. Maybe he'll show off the "tomato" growing operation too.

I do think that when the new pics of all these "morphs" do show up, they should be carefully cross-referenced against other stolen pictures, since there's a history of that behavior.

Wow... Dont lose track of who the real badguy is here....

Rarepythons, Christopher. Your animals are being Misrepresented, and i have taken screenshots if you decide to change them. I remember trying to give you a chance, in the beginning of that other thread, and i see you have FAILED to change your ways.

I STRONGLY recommend knocking of the "i didnt know" bullcrap and quit the misrepresentation you are failing miserably to pull off.

Not at all -- what I am saying and I will clarify, since you don't know about balls, is that these snakes spend most of their lives hiding underground - they are nocturnal by nature and light is stressful to them - wherever it is coming from.

OK, Chris...I'll bite. Post the comparison shots of the Ghosts next to normals, and then some others of your Ghosts next to everyone else's, and we'll see which is the closer comparison. Just because a normal looks nicer than most others does not make it a morph worth thousands.

While you're at it, could you post some copulation, oviposition, or hatching shots for our enjoyment? I think it would definitely lend to your credibility. Thanks.

I have some copulation pics on my work camera from my bumble project Friday. I can post when I get to work on Mon. (along with the desert ghost comparison). I did find some other pics on my HD taken during the past year, which I am posting here. There is another one of the desert ghost that shows it a little better. Once again this isn't a comparison shot..just another from a top shot.

GFP also does not harm the mice in any way, shape, or form.

Since a few people requested videos of them..here are two colors of mice produced.

If that was the case I would humbly apologize and relist them as normals. I was told they were desert ghosts, and that many pictures of 'ghosts' on the web are slightly doctored with photoshop to reduce them. However, I feel it is only fair that I be offered to chance to show some more pics video compared against normals for a more professional assessment.

Well, if it's all that simple, someone "told you" that those are desert ghosts, it should be just as simple for us to tell you that those are NOT desert ghosts. new pics or not, that is a light colored, normal (or "regular", if you insist on using your own terminology) ball python.

Hell, while we're at it, if that's all it takes....someone, please tell me that all of my light colored and slightly atypically marked animals are actually high-dollar morphs (even though they don't actually LOOK like those morphs)....I could use the extra money for Christmas shopping. And wow, if a 780 g animal is a full-sized breeder, I must have a special gigantic-type of ball python, which naturally must be worth a ton of cash too.

Cripes...I don't care how "respectful" this guy pretends to be....he's been told by honest folk many times that what he's doing is deceitful at best. He's a liar, and one who has already admitted he doesn't give a crap about the animals themselves, he's just in it for "a fast and hard buck". He's scum, plain and simple.

Thanks for the fair attempt, Chris. May I humbly suggest that you immerse yourself intelectually in BP's before immersing yourself financially. I'm an Aussie Python guy. I don't do BP's, but I can tell you that it is unlike any hobby/investment out there. One needs extensive knowledge for any credibility in this market, and despite your willingness to explain your actions and motives, it seems you lack this knowledge.

I honestly suggest reading up on Tony Hurt and what kind of damage can come from re-selling BP's as what you purchased them as...you may need to take a loss on this one.

I do understand that; but what I'm saying is they won't give off any more light than is shining on them. So, unless someone has put a UV lamp in the potential GFP-snake's cage and leaves it on all the time, it really shouldn't be stressful.
If you turn off all the lights, they won't glow at all, no more than a neon shirt would glow if you had the lights off. If they are anywhere not next to a blacklight, they won't glow. So they're still free to be nocturnal as long as their keeper doesn't try to set up a 24-hr display.
It's really not very different from taking a normally dark colored snake and making them light, bright colors; this also increases the amount of light they reflect.

Offer stands, Einstein collective.

Problem is (besides all of the previously mentioned reasons why a visit to his place wouldn't prove much), for any of us to believe what was "found" there, the visit would have to be conducted by someone we felt was trustworthy, ethical, and honest. Someone like Harald, who I believe was involved in the discussion at an earlier point.

How about a few pics from your place? My guess is that are barely competent to wipe your a$$, much less complain about someone else.

If anything, while I have had differences of opinion with John before, John is brutally honest. I would trust his impression of what he saw there....you, well......not so much.

But again, bickering amongst ourselves solves nothing.

The baby balls in the pic were separated later on, that was the bin we first put them in after they started hatching out before their first shed. I posted the pic to show a decent quantity in one photo shot, rather than strew 50 bins on a table. Once again most jumps the gun rather than ask a reasonable question.

That is part of the reason the BOI is a bit of a wash, since anyone that asks a normal question or offers any positive commentary is attacked by other members. I've looked through some of the posts from people who made negative commentary on this post and some have 95%+ streaks of over 100 solid negative posts on a variety of topics.

I'm not trying to win a popularity contest. On the issue of the gravids, or any other animal for that fact, I will take whatever pictures, video, weights, etc. to show the animals in as much detail as possible. If someone disagrees with a classification, let me know in a respectful manner, and I'll change the animal description. As far as current customers I haven't had any complaints, and the feedback I have gotten has been for professional praise. There is even another member on Fauna who volunteers for me, and who I've provided animals to, but I am hesitant to ask him to do a 'good guy' post, because I don't want him to get attacked by the wolves here. Even if he did I'm sure there would be plenty of people claiming he is being disingenuous in some form.

Despite the recommendation of other Fauna members to STOP responding to BOI threads as it just feeds a sickening format for presumed guiltiness; I feel it is necessary to prove it to those who read this thread and can sort the reasonable facts from the unreasonable, childish, and often very presumptuous statements made by some members.

To Bill and anyone out there that has the courage and respect to confront me in person with your questions, come visit.

thank you.
