    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Gasoline price increase panic

it's nuts here too. I'm not to far from Cheryl about an hour south and gas is anywhere from $3.80 to $4 a gal is just crazy.
 
The cheapest here is $3.99 and it goes up to $4.59 for regular. It hit the news tonight that a lot of stations in our area are still not getting resupplied. Those stations have only high grade left and some are putting a 10 gallon limit on what little they still have.
 
Pine Mountain "spectrum" is out of gas and has no idea when they will get more, Chevron has a 5 gallon limit, and in Shillo there's a 50 dollar limit! We are planning a trip up to Ky. to deliver rats and snakes and this could really put a damper on our plans!!!
 
The supply around Tallahassee, FL seems to be getting back to normal, but still some odd things to be seen. Yesterday I had to run an errand and noticed the local BP station had gasoline. The price on regular was something like $2.87 per gallon, but the hi-test was priced at $4.92! :ack2:

I've heard there is a shortage of hi-test around here, so perhaps there is a bit of gouging gone on there. :shrug01:
 
From what I understand the price of gas at the pumps is dependent on the price of oil futures which is the speculation on future prices in the stock market. The stock market is screwed up and nothing is worth as much as it was so the price of fuel had to go down.

If the market improves I believe the prices will increase. I don't think the regular price of gas has anything to do with reality, only the gouge prices which are taking advantage of certain situations that truly have no bearing on production.

We are but pawns.

BTW, gas here jumped from $1.49 to $1.59 to $1.75 in the space of 36 hours. I haven't been out this morning so am not sure if they jumped again or not.
 
Our prices hita high of $1.81 per liter over the summer, then dropped to 78 cents a week ago. Now they are hovering around 88 cents

You're too close to Canada. Drive an hour south, take 5 deep cleansing breaths, and recite the Pledge of Allegiance. You'll convert back to gallons in about 20 minutes.
