    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Not much of a story but it seems state officials caught an iguana in Honolulu and instead of euthanizing the iguana they are going to ship it to the mainland. At least it's a semi-happy ending for the renegade lizard.

CRITTER CAPTURED: State agriculture inspectors bagged a 10-pound iguana yesterday morning at St. Stephen’s Diocesan Center off Pali Highway, where it had eluded authorities Sunday. Now in quarantine, the lizard will be shipped to a mainland reptile farm.

that is an absolutely beautiful iquana though

Should be, living in Hawaii. Fun in the sun, perfect temps and all the flowers and lush plants you can eat. The only problem a bunch of human types running around trying to capture you and ship you off to prison. But it sure beats a shovel across the top of the head, ouch!

Maybe the only problem for the iguana... but the iguana itself is a problem for Hawaii. I'm glad it was captured and is being removed.

I wonder how it got over there? From what I understand HI is extremely strict as far as allowing importation of any non-native animals.

I too am glad it was captured and agree invasive species are a problem especially for someplace like Hawaii with their unique flora and fauna.

I was only replying to Mr. Scotts comments about the beauty of the iguana and the less than humane extermination method used in his home state. I was in no way suggesting that I wanted the iguana to remain free and roam the hills of Honolulu searching for her man (at least I think she's a she).
