In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Info on record / Debbie Prince

My opinion:
Debbie: alot of questionable delays and brushing off of the situation from the emails. The packaging looks questionable, but being just pictures, I cannot pass 100% judgement. I would actually think from the vet sending off blood test with 2 negs on IBD, probably was packaging and heat.... did you pack the snake right on the heat pack by chance?

Toni: did I read right? you used scholarship money of your daughter to buy a snake?!!!!!! I believe alot in Karma, and this sounds like a classic case!

I have an opinion of whom I think is responsible here and for what part, but I am leaving a direct statement out to point out the following: Not knowing either of you, I think you both need to simply come to terms with the situation and try to save your names, not your money.
The pointing fingers thing seems like a never ending circle, but when it comes down to it, if you go on record in the BOI, it could bite you in the butt worse than you think. People want to do business with others who are unquestionably good business people, whether that be as a buyer or a seller. Time has been passing, more money has been spent, Before it get worse for either party: Calmly talk to eachother and meet halfway, since it looks like neither wants halfway, only their way or the highway!
As you can tell from others posting in this thread, it seems the 'butt biting' has already begun.

Just my opinion, that's all.

MY bad! not that it means anything now that I have already posted there, but it is Greg Sample

I sincerely hope both parties are communicating privately and settling the matter, since neither has bothered to come back in here and say what's happening.

Wow... This is crazy...
I happen to know Debbie and from what I know, she is a great person all around... I would not think twice about buying a reptile from Debbie even after reading this thread... I am a bit disappointed here though...

I can understand the buyer wanting a full refund back and not wanting to house the snake at her house... If you do not know a breeder, how can you be certain you did not get a snake with a virus that can kill your entire collection??? Especially after a vet tells you this can be the issue at hand...

I for one would not take the chance on keeping an animal in my house with the rest of my collection that can kill everything I own... Boarding it at the vet my be an expensive option but it may be the only option she has...

Honestly, if Debbie would have just refunded the money from the start, bills would not be piling up... The fact that the money was spent before the snake even arrived to the buyer is no excuse... Money should be held, at the very least, until you hear from the buyer that everything is 100% ok...

My terms are pretty tight too, but if there was an issue with an animal I sent out and it was clearly my fault, a refund would have been sent out as soon as the animal was sent back to me... No questions asked...

Seriously, we all know what shipping stress is and what it does to reptiles... What was mentioned in the emails was clearly not shipping stress... Instead of saying the condition was due to shipping stress I would have asked for pics right away... After seeing the problem I would have then told the buyer to ship it back on MY account and I would send a refund as soon as the snake arrived back to my location...

Deb, those of us who know you, know you are a good person and a great breeder... I really hope you two are working it out...

You make very good points here Gregg.

As there seems to either be no resolution, or neither party wishes to inform the Fauna community of one after all the back and forth on this forum, I'd have to say I'd avoid dealings with either in the future. Not that I'm a BP guy, but I don't feel either has acted in a way that would lead me to recommend them to ANYONE.

Toni is still waiting to hear from Debbie who once again is MIA and none responsive. So there are no further updates other than the usual.

Since you're in the know... How is the snake? Is Toni still demanding that the snake be put down at Debbie's expense? Is Toni still demanding Debbie pay ALL the vet bills, even the one's that were not needed and weren't requested?

How can Toni be demanding anything when the seller won't even get in contact with her? The biggest issue is getting Debbie to finally stand behind her snake and work out a reasonable solution. I agree, Toni would need to return a live (or deceased if it dies on its own) for a refund, and deserves a refund on the original vet costs.

But the real issue at hand is that Debbie has continued to evade the problem, and avoided any attempt at a real solution. People in this thread have enjoyed driving Toni into the ground with their petty, inconsequential, trivial issues, but the main culprit is Debbie's continued inability to resolve this issue. A truly honorable seller would have refunded the snake as soon as a problem arose, but here we are months after the fact, and it doesn't even appear as though she's trying to raise the money to refund Toni. I suggest you start putting Debbie under the microscope before she gets away with what will amount to a scam.

lol

I'm sorry, but I'm putting both of them under the microscope. When Debbie offered a refund and expected the snake back, and Toni said "Yes, that's acceptable to send me $1500, but I don't know if that will settle everything, and regardless I will have the snake necropsied" I take issue. When she claims it's necessary to protect her beloved collection, but refuses to answer questions as to the whereabouts of the other two "exposed" snakes that were shipped with the caramel, yet claims it's necessary to rack up vet boarding bills, I take issue. She was supposed to be back here with a copy of the vet bill scanned, and has yet to log in since that day. I take issue with Tosha answering questions for the OP. I take issue with this whole situation. In light of that, both the buyer and seller are under the microscope as far as I'm concerned and I wouldn't do business with EITHER til I see the outcome.

debbie needs to refund toni's money

In simple terms, that's part of the solution. But I think it's a bit more complicated than that.

1. Toni and Debbie need to come up with and agree on an amount to be refunded. I personally believe this should include the vet bills that Debbie requested, and not the boarding costs, etc.

2. Toni and Debbie need to agree on the outcome of the snake in question. I personally believe it should be shipped back to Debbie immediately upon receipt of an agreed upon refund amount.

Yes, I'm including my personal opinion in there as to what *I* believe is fair... but as I stated, THEY need to come up with and agree on this. It sounds like they're BOTH stalling negotiations in one way or another to me.

I still have questions, but then I'm not a part of the transaction. I'm just a part of the BOI community. :)

One thing I would like to throw in there. If I were Debbie, in light of Toni's seeming vindictiveness and desire to have the snake put down, I would think that shipping the snake to a middle-man would be a good solution.

1. Toni ships snake to someone both parties trust.
2. Debbie issues the agreed upon refund amount.
3. Upon receipt of the refund, middleman ships snake to Debbie.
4. End of transaction.

Great post Richard,
yeah I wonder why Tosha is now the spokeswoman.
Infers that they could possibly be in cahoots.

Awesome post Mike!

I take issue with Tosha answering questions for the OP.

First, I did not answer for the OP - the OP posted it on the other thread and any number of people could have told you the same thing - I suspect since it doesn't paint a very good picture of Debbie doing the right thing that's probably why no one mentioned it -- if it's that big of an issue for you I guess you can go back to hoping it's all working itself out.

Second, if that is your biggest issue that you pull out of this thread then wow, just wow.

You all let me know when you see that snake Debbie is supposed to be selling go up for sale.
