    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

My opinion

Be irritated, yes. But it is not a sale until something (money or product) has swapped ownership.

Sucks, and not necessarily the best bedside manner, but the fact is that until he has your money, it is still his choice.

but still irritating none the less, and I would be ticked also.

yes sir i do understand and it will not be left neg or pos. im asking for the go ahead to use the B.O.I. to post my conversations with this person as info only. but if best left alone let me know and this will be my last post on the subject. i fully intend on using this site and the B.O.I. as they are intended thank you for your input
 
If a (generic) discussion of a seller's right to not sell to any given buyer, or to not break up animals advertised as a group, is desired...it can be taken up in the General Business Discussions forum.
It was placed here because it was a question about policy and the use of features on this site.
 
Eric, It seems you have your answer from the site's perspective and some individual opinions. I would just add my personal opinion to your original question. I always reserve the right not to sell or buy from anyone. Personally, I will not sell, buy or trade with those that have open BOI issues where they clearly owe funds or animals to another party, in MY OPINION. Other than that, I don't hold any disagreements (even if it is a heated conversation) I may have with individuals on their opinions posted. Some exceptions to that include people that support known scammers and those that may show poor customer service with their opinions but for the most part that is accurate.

Anyway, I believe every seller has that right to refuse service. I wouldn't think twice about it if someone refused to do business with me. It would be a non-issue. I personally would not think it worthy of a BOI post and absolutely beleive a negative trader rating is uncalled for when a transaction hasn't taken place.

I have to side with Jas on this one.

I have refused to sell to people and I have refused to buy from people. Aslong as the money has not traded hands then I can do as I wish IMO.
 
Eric, did you ever thing that posting this thread doesn't look too kindly on you? Posting this could cause others to refrain from dealing with you to avoid any unneeded aggravation.
 
you want to know whats really funny about all this jas is the first to put me on the board. received my first karma points from him. lol and on him not liking me lolololololololololololol i don't give a crap this issue was brought up to simply to see how i can show his prospective buyers his character and nothing else weather or not he likes me or you think I'm a whiner or not gets the same response. its like Harold said it is a policy issue here. i will no longer talk about anything but that. and as rich says i can post a negative trader rating in this issue and no one here can do anything about it if i choose to. but at this point negative feed back is not going to be left. but if pushed i may. Eric, I seriously urge you to step back & take a look at the bigger picture here.
You came on this forum under something of a cloud of suspicion due to the info your wife was posting in your ads.
"First impressions are everything."
"You don't get a second chance to make a good first impression."
From what I have observed, you haven't done much to change people's impression of you and your company.
It's like you are self-destructive. Or maybe you just don't see what the rest of us see?
People DON'T want to do business with someone they've seen acting on the forums the way you have, IMHO.
Regardless of who you are, actions speak louder than words. You have come across as a possible problematic customer. People have too much going on in their own world to have to worry about someone else bringing their drama into it.
You have done more damage to yourself and your reputation ON THIS POST ALONE, than all the other posts you've been part of.
I have a feeling that you may find more people jumping on the same bandwagon that Jas is driving when they do a search on you and see this thread.
Do you not realize that refusing service to someone is everywhere? Not just on this site? You could walk into a convenience store tomorrow & have the clerk deny to sell you anything. How would you handle that? Nevermind...I think we already know the answer to that one.

I've seen less whinyness on the playground at the nearby grade school. He doesn't want to sell to you? Guess what, as a seller that's HIS prerogative. Suck it up and move on.

I won't buy from or sell to you either, guess that makes me a horrible person too.
 
You all just can't seem to take the hint here. I really HATE locking threads, but most of the topic matter in this thread is not appropriate for this particular forum. So it's either lock this thread or smack a bunch of people with infraction points. So anyway, take the discussion elsewhere please...
