    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Alright, I was wondering after seeing an adult eastern ribbon snake at the pet shop about how quickly mine will grow, Trogdor (my snake) is about a 1 1/2 feet long now and about the thickness of a pencil, The adults i seen were a few feet long and about as big around as a loonie or toonie. (A little larger then an American quarter). He is in a 15 gallon tank now feeding on pinkie mice once a week, with the occasional earth worm as a treat every once in a while. So in the experience and opinion of others, do snakes adapt to the size of there environment or do they continue to grow to average adult size as if they were in the wild?

Dave's right, their adult size isn't determined by their enclosure size (unless the size of the enclosure is so small that the animal is being stressed to death), then they just stop growing because eventually they stop living.

I've never actually seen a ribbon snake bigger around than a US quarter, all the one's i've seen have been very slender. Eastern Garters, yep, definitely have seen big females that size though....

Be careful, though. IMO, the Burninator is a highly irresponsible pet to have. They get quite large. Not to mention their propensity to burn peasants.

Not to mention the destruction of all the thatched-roof cottages!

I agree, enclosure has nothing to do with growth. Its like if I move into a small house that means I will stop growing, versus if I move into a large house and will shoot up!

I wondered if anyone would get the referance. I'm happy that I am not the only one that loves that site. It also helped me come up with a name for my male albino that I just could not think of something that seemed right, but now I have it. I will be posting updated pictures soon in the ball forum. I will call him STRONG BAD :D
