In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Pulled out Redboy for cleaning day and his head was completely red. Harlequins tend to have nice pink/red on the head but this was insane, never seen it flushed with so much color before. Of course, camera never does justice

He is usually very pale, this was a cool look for him. I like the highlights on each side of the arrow on his head, almost like it’s glowing.

Neat! too bad the pics don't show it as nicely... oh well.

He definitely has nice color, the pale spots do make the head stripe stand out don't they. It doesn't seem fair sometimes how difficult capturing their looks is.

That boy's purty. You can tell he's having a red head. It's sorta obvious, and the pale spots make it stand out even more.

Nice stuff right there.

You should bring that boy outside so we can see some shots with natural light :D

I know, I wish I could! I'm in an apartment right now and don't really want the neighbors to see the critters so that makes it difficult. I'm going to have to drag a bunch of them out in a rubbermaid on a quite Sunday morning or something. :)

Thanks for the nice comments! The more I look at these pics the more I dislike them, I know I can do better.

Tried to get some better shots but alas, looks like going outside is the only way I’ll be able to capture his colors. He’s got a much deeper pink/reddish flush that the flash will allow the camera to pick up. At least these pics came out a little better than the other ones I posted.

Thanks for looking.

Most cams with flash built in will soften the flash if you put in macro mode.

But I don't have a problem seeing his color at all. That's a really nice boy right there.

Finally got some outdoor pics! These were taken today at 6pm in the shade, camera on 'natural light' setting. (and text added in photoshop of course)

Here he is with his sister Candy, but she was in blue and wasn't very photogenic. She also didn't want to hold still.

Some closeups of Redboy's face.

Thank you!
Randall, I like his speckles too, especially how they group around the saddles.

The father of the litter was here on loan so we took turns picking out which babies we wanted and if you can believe it Redboy was my #3 pick (so 5th pick out of the litter). I'm really happy with how he turned out.

BTW what kind of camera are you using April?

The first 2 sets of pictures were taken with my Olympus FE340 8meg camera (guy got me it for last Xmas). I am still trying to get it figured out, it tends to blur and I don't like the flash. The last set of outdoor pics I too with my guy's Fuji Finepix, I don't remember which model I had got him, similar to the S1500fd if not that same one.

Eventually we'd like to get either a nice Nikon or a Cannon powershot DSLR. (maybe one day...) :)

Very nice, the outside pics really show the pinks. I have the same problem, i have to be really careful because the neighbors have no idea I have so many "critters" in my house.lol Very nice looking critter.

Looking good April. I know the male is the star of the show, but that females pretty hot looking too, in blue or not. She looks mighty clean.

Great looking critters, the both of them.

Thanks guys! I'm glad I found this little secluded area at my apartment where I can sneak them down for outside photos.

that females pretty hot looking too, in blue or not. She looks mighty clean.

Good eyes, yeah she is super clean and looks like bubblegum when in 'new clothes', she is the pinkest hypo I have, Redboy has much more of an orange/red coloration. I'll make sure to get some nice outdoor shots of her after shed.

I also want to show pics up of the 2 other siblings, Puzzle and Velvet, they are more classic harlequins with abbarent patterns. Sadly they are also in blue at the moment. Silly snakes, don't they know I want to take pics?! :D
