    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I have a male blackthroat monitor and a 75 gallon tank he is in. I will give you everything including lights for $250 pick up only. I dont have the time to play with him as he deserves. I have him priced at a cost that I am getting less than I paid for everything BUT I want him to go to someone that has the time to give him. Seems you dont have the time or the proper caging for this guy either. Im glad your getting rid of him, he is way too big for a 75 gallon cage.

Sorry to come off a bit harsh, but the truth hurts. Should have done your research before you got something that gets 4+ feet long.
 
actually right now he has plenty of space in his cage otherwise he would have a bigger one... Thanks for bumpin the thread though
 
Im not going to argue with you. A 75 gallon is at most 2ft wide, which is not adequate enough for him to live in. The width should be at least the length of the Monitor, which is not the case if he is 3-3 1/2 feet long.

If you do some research on this type of monitor you would see that a 75 gallon is ok for a juvenile up to 1 1/2 feet at most.

Not trying to stop someone from purchasing this Black Throat from you, just trying to educate you incase you ever get another Monitor. Just do research and have the proper housing ready before you get another reptile, is all Im saying. It will save you and your reptile a lot of problems!

The price of $250 for a Black Throat of that size is a good price.
