In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hi everyone,

The following add by John Giunta (Animals by Stardust & the UltraBrite), faunaclassifieds member "St^rdust & the UltraBrite", was just brought to my attention: http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/forums/showthread.php?p=706846

This add (attached below in case it is deleted as I have reported it) is selling a pair of baby Parson's Chameleons for $2500 shipped. The problem is, these are my photos of my animals that I took back in 2006 (photos can be seen posted here: http://www.chameleonforums.com/photos-my-collection-dialup-894/ ). The animals were never sold and I never extended permission for the use of my photographs.

It appears this individual is trying to scam potential buyers either by trying to collect on animals he does not have or by falsely representing animals he does and using my photographs for his own monetary gain (a violation of copyright law).

Buyer Beware!

Chris

Excellent job of exposing this scammer!

Interesting to note that Bridgewater, MA (home of "John Guinta") and Brockton, MA are only 7-8 miles apart.

Brockton, MA is the home of another (Fauna banned) liar, scammer and thief, John (dumass) Dumas - AKA Diamonds Exotics/Extreme Exotics/John McKay. It would be so like him (and his equally moronic partner, Pamela Mansulla) to pull a scam of this nature.

Well, here we go.

Not only has that user used an IP address that only one other person has ever used on Fauna, that other user has only advertised chams as well.

That person is also from MA and listed a similar birthday.

Has used that IP address this month. He also sells Chameleons. Is birthday is similar to the one used by the other user and he is also out of MA.

Considering the only ads he put up is also for Chams, I was wondering if I could find those pictures elsewhere and I did.

Here is his recent ad.

I just noticed that the Ad was deleted by the user. I just restored it, closed it and asked David to comment here. It should be available to view by the link now.

Dennis,

Thanks very much for posting this info. Maybe David would be so kind as to come on here and straighten things out/apologize?

Chris

P.S. all old world chameleons are illegal in MA.

So should this add be real in any way, their animals could be confiscated if they fail to produce permits(and fish and game were to see the add). I sent them a message about it as soon as I saw the add. appears like a scam to me...

just fyi
Rob

Well, i'm only about 10 min away from Brockton or Bridgewater....I'd be happy to make a trip to see these beautiful Chams in person;) Definitely looks dirty.

Interesting to note that Bridgewater, MA (home of "John Guinta") and Brockton, MA are only 7-8 miles apart.

This may not be something that's easily understood by anyone who hasn't been to or lived in the Northeast but... There are huge areas where there is no empty space between towns or cities.

Every town and city in eastern Massachusetts is within eight miles of a dozen others. The closest edge of the town I live in is about eight miles away from the closest edge of Brockton too... does that make me John Dumas as well?

Picture theft, sketchy IP addresses with multiple logins trying the same scam, claiming to sell a species that can't be sold in the state... these are all good reasons to avoid the guy. Living within ten miles of another scammer... not so much.

Nope. It doesn't make this guy John Dumas either. I only pointed out what I found to be an interesting coincidence. I did not say he is John Dumas. However, given Mr. Dumas' past history, aliases, etc, I felt it worthy of mentioning.

Strange

We recently dealt with Mr. Schmitz. He purchased some veiled chameleons from us. When I noticed his ad when we first started our dealings he said to me that the animals weren't his. He was posting these animals for a freind of his. I dont think any of this was done malicously but who am I, cant speak for David. But I just wanted to post some of what I knew about these animals. Thanks

Not meliciously at all....he just used stolen 3 yr. old photos for his ads. No biggie. I'm sure it was just an accident:rolleyes:

I am here

This has been one much needed avoided play. I was trying to help sell what was thought to be an actual pair for whom I thought was a friend that I have sold to before. They were SUPPOSEDLY being held in New Hampshire and were on the road between shows. I have come to realize a few days ago I was scammed by this person for a male veiled. I am sorry for the complete mis-understanding. I have sold animals in the past here mainly being panthers flapnecks and veileds. I feel quite stupified now having my reputation ripped apart and having been played by that person myself and to think I almost helped them get away with it on a grander scale. This is who it was [email protected] please email them. Something! i just got back into the hobby of veileds as their bloodlines are being deminished from the hobby. And now for trying to help someone my reputation is destroyed. I can admit i did something very stupid, i posted a WANTED for veileds and a past customer was selling a veiled male and a pair of parsons. check the date i posted that. idk what else to say

David, were you the one using that other user name?

on another note

John Giunta is my cousin. He was trying to help me sell them for [email protected] because the deal was that if i could sell the parson i would have gotten the male veiled at no charge. the typical was stated as, i dont have time for them anymore etc etc with the economy i need the money. i can send their email and i will

VEILED CHAMELEON AND CALUMMA PARSONII FOR SALE - ALL INCLUSIVE

I am currently selling my Veiled Chameleon and Calumma Parsonii.
They are 12 months old and are extremely playful.
They love to come out of their cages and are very well behaved.
They do not bite or hiss and they enjoys being rubbed under their chin
most especially the veiled.
Once he comes out of the cage he turns the brightest green you have ever seen.
They are very beautiful pets and I wish I could keep them.
Unfortunately, I just do not have the time to give them all the
attention that is required for them to have a happy, healthy life.

The Price for the pair of Calumma Parsonii is $ 2000.00 for both and
note that this Chameleons are very rare and hard to find in the pet
store or even breeders !!
Included in the price of $250.00 for the Veiled Chameleon is the following:

- 1 Male Veiled Chameleon
- 1 cage with faux rock background and safety lock on front doors
- 1 UV lamp
- 1 large heat lamp
- 1 block of extra moss
- 2 fake plants
- 1 long climbing vine
- 1 container of calcium dust for crickets
- 1 water bottle sprayer

I am looking for someone to give them a better home than I can.

Please contact Allison at - [email protected]

David,
If my understanding of the laws in MA are correct, even if you have the permits to keep restricted species, they cannot be sold.

i used to do all of this when i was about 17 i didnt know they were illegal untill i was like 20. i am not selling anything until the laws pass in 2010. I am only starting my collection again and was looking to get that persons veiled male
