In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy John Giunta (Animals by Stardust & the UltraBrite) Fauna Classified's Scammer

i wish i knew how to do what you guys do to find all of this out, i never would have been played or would never have tried to help. i wonder who they are working with because when i shipped to them i shipped to NH USA! does anyone know who they might be working with? anything like this ever been heard of? i recently got great veileds from someone and cant even come through with kudos to them from my inquiry just because i dont want !

i dont want to ruin their reputation by saying they are amazing just because my reputation the small one i used to have is being ripped apart. someone please pull up all of my old classified adds, i used to be here

David, it is pretty simple. If you were scammed and you’re telling the truth your rep is going to come out of this OK with some lessons learned. If you’re not, then yeah it is the crapper.

David,
If my understanding of the laws in MA are correct, even if you have the permits to keep restricted species, they cannot be sold.

That's accurate.

The herp laws of Massachusetts are enforced by a small number of reasonable, intelligent people and as such aren't *quite* as ridiculous as they sometimes appear to be on paper but the letter of the law still needs to be followed each and every time, even if the folks enforcing it are usually willing to make that process a little easier to get through.

Any chameleons owned in Massachusetts require a yearly permit, per animal, cannot be sold, cannot be intentionally bred without permission, cannot be given away as gifts unless the recipient is also a permit holder, cannot be brought into or moved out of the state without separate transportation permits and notarized certificates of captive birth...

In short, while it's not impossible to own them there, anyone who thinks they're running a breeding business now or planning for one in the future is either deliberately disobeying the laws or is completely oblivious to the laws they have broken/are breaking. Unfortunately, the second situation is all too common for the restricted species, since many of them are not similarly restricted in the surrounding states and a trip to a pet store in any of them is only a matter of a few hours drive, at absolute most.

David,

Just to clarify, the photos you used in the add are the photos that they sent you of the animals they supposedly had for sale? Do you have the address you shipped the animals to in NH when you dealt with this email address in the past?

Chris

So if I understand this then:

You were selling a pair of chameleons (for someone you didn't know) that didn't belong to you for $2,500 because the owners were "too busy" or "needed the money". furthermore, You have "sold to them (the owners) before" and they also apparently reside in the country of Cameroon, pretty much the place to be if you're an internet scammer, and you have also been scammed by them as well. The thread is addressed to John Giunta, who is your cousin, who has not bothered to reply to this thread, who also was trying to help you sell these animals all of this so you could get a free male veiled, and to top it off in the ad where you are selling these animals with stolen pictures you claim
Thank you for looking, Animals by Stardust & the UltraBrite.
implying that they were produced by you or your cousin.
Oh and your worried about this damaging your reputation...

Is this pretty much the story?

Did I miss anything?

No unicorns?

Yes, Kyle ... that sounds like the situation in a nutshell.

Not to mention the recent purchase & possession of Veiled chameleons IF David has not procured the proper license to possess them in MA ... I mean he did only find out about the law 5 years ago when he was 20!

Yes, you missed something. We actually have two different ads with two sets of stolen pictures, with two different descriptions and prices.

Under is "cousin's" user name with the pictures taken from Chris.

$2,750 shipped for 1.1 parsonii
Perfect, curious, related pair of parson's from great european blood. Tough times due to the economy is making this pair available for almost anyone wanting parsonii. This is a pair going for what typically one individual would go for. Buy the pair and make your money back! I just don't have the time, and am not a member of kingsnake.com. If i were they would have sold for 3000 shipped days ago. Email me at [email protected]. Thank You, David Schmitz

Dennis,

This brings up a good point. There are two adds, each with two different photos and in both cases, the two photos in that add came from the same location. Does that mean that the person in Cameroon sent both sets of photos to David and his cousin and they just each happened to only use one pair that happened to both be from the same source rather then use all four photos or mix them? To me that wreaks of the poster looking for photos to post in their add the moment they were posting the add and simply finding two together and using them both. David - Could you please elaborate on this and please post copies of the emails you received from the person in Cameroon to show us that they were the ones who sent all the photos to you.

Chris

Thanks Dennis and Laura...
Also why would someone, phantumstranga with a 2005 join date and 31 posts need to use the brand spankin new account of another St^rdust & the UltraBrite member, with no posts other than the one that started all of this, to sell chameleons?

i cannot sign on to my account i have checked with the webmasters so i havent been banned yet but if you could please send this to the BOI. my cousin was supposed to be my partner and from what i was informed is the laws were passed in MA just a month or two ago allowing the possesion but not sales of until january of 2010. but i guess im wrong. we were both trying to sell different animals this person supposedly had. i shipped to them over 4 years ago so i dont have the address that i shipped to but i believe i have some emails of theirs that i will send to Chris in my next email. i was trying to convince my cousin to go into a partnership and he does not have any experience with reptiles or sales so im trying to resolve this for myself, and this incident was enough for me to get rid of my own animals and my cousin is no longer interested in anything of this sort. i suppose all of you are right as i now know i have done some horrible things to say the least but i wasnt trying to scam anyone, i was taking in emails and sending them to that levibruns. i would never have done anything like this intentionally. i thought i was helping an old friend and it turned out to be a shady thing to do. there and thus im screwed and am never going to be able to have any part with my only love and passion, being chameleons. atleast a thanks to all that no one else has to get scammed by this person. my dreams of bringing strong blood back to the veiled hobby are only dreams. and i want to say im sorry to Chris Anderson most of all because none of this ever should have happened. thank you, dave
