    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I have been looking around for plans for a misting system. I don't need nothing outrageous but I do want something that can be added on to easily.
The habba mister doesn't have good reviews so I am looking for something better.

If a fogger would suffice instead of a mister, I've been using the Zoomed repti-fogger for a while now for my boas and it works perfect. I tried quite a few different misters and foggers and none of them could manage to keep a large cage at the right humidity level and fit in very well. Here's a link for you to take a look and see if it sounds like it might do the job

what kind of boa are you using a fogger on?

I just use a regular ol' humidifier with PVC pipe from the humidifier output to the tank. I use a timer to set it so it goes off at regular intervals throughout the day. Works beautifully for my Brazilian rainbow boa (and it's cheap).

I actually found some plans on making one for just a little more then 100 dollars. The most expensive part being the timer for it.
I downloaded them but there in PDF format, not sure if I can post PDF files on here.

I just use asmall pond pump (I think its 20GPH) with an adapter to run 1/4" tubing from it. It runs on a $20 timer for one minute everyday. My crestied and frilled love it. home depot sells the 'misting' heads now, but the one's online are a little better in terms of coverage.

What are you using for the water? I'm guessing its not piped into the plumbing. The small setup I seen it was hooked up to a garden sprayer.

I have it in a plastic tub with a hole on the top for tubing/power cord. I only need to add water once a month in the winter, and maybe once every two weeks in the summer.

My water's from a well so there's no added chemicals. Same water I use for their dishes.
