In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Im kind of getting a head start on picking a name for my ball python even though i dont have him yet.I need a cool unique name sometime different, any ideas?

Susan.

We have a very large MALE ball python that came to us already named Susan by former owners who thought he was a she. Well, they were wrong, so we now have...."A Boy Named Sue!"

You may want to wait and see what your new arrival is like. While I haven't named a snake in over a decade I have named a few other critters. One in particular was a kitten which I named Spike (he looked like Spike from the Gremlins). As it turned out Clarice and Spike didn't get along so the only other choice was to change his name to Hannibal.

So you may want to consider things like that before picking a name.

I tend to name mind after their attitude (BAD GIRL, SPAZZZ, TAGGER) or something particular about their color (SUNSHINE, GOLDEN BOY, SONNY) or pattern (SHADY--has an umbrella shape on her; LITTLE T--has a little T on her back). But then again, I have some that got their name for no other reason than I felt it needed one (Betty). Then there's FAITH & HOPE--I have Faith that she's going to BE a het pied, rather than a possible; I Hope the other one is too!
I name 99% of my critters, eventually--even my new sulcata (PAT), and I won't know its sex for a loooong time.

I usually name my animals on my moods. I started naming them after disney movies and kid shows (3 kids).
Now I am working on foods. Hershey, choclate, chip, and skittles.
Yeah, I was hungry at those times.

i named mine gianna michaels, sara jay, mandingo, lex steele, flower tucci, ava devine, ramone....... to name a few lmaoooooooooooooo i know the guys are gonna get this one

Naming is (lamely) a big thing for me. EVERYTHING gets named. I put a ton of effort (usually) into pairing it up well!

Example:

A snake that I rescued was severely neglected (long story) so I named her Prometheus. (if you don't know the story, look it up and you will see why)

I have my big female BCI.. biggest snake I own.. so I named her "Phobos" (god of fear if I recall)

here is an original one.. My spider ball (from Gib) I named "Arachnis" LOL

..

and my evil bearded dragon is "Spitfire"

lol..

So I vote, as others have.. wait to see what it looks and acts like!!

and in regards to fluffy.. fluffy is a great name for a giant breed!!!! ***oh hey, you wanna meet fluffy? she is super sweet.. yes? ok.. lemme go get her.. and then proceed to haul out a 20 foot burm. lol

Fluffy is great for large snakes, but I'm partial to TINY!
I had a burm named "Buttercup"--sweet & innocuous...
