In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....
I think Joe was just demonstrating his point by giving Ralphie the respect he deserved ;)

Or perhaps was he being queer?

RALLLLLPHIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE......

I never once called you a Fag. On top of that you posted the picture online. It's on a public site that anyone can view. If you would not like pictures of you online DON'T POST THEM!!!!!! :shrug01:

I was using queer in this meaning

"Since its emergence in the English language in the 16th Century (related to the German quer, meaning "across, at right angle, diagonally or transverse"), queer has generally meant "strange," "unusual," or "out of alignment." It might refer to something suspicious or "not quite right," or to a person with mild derangement or who exhibits socially inappropriate behavior."

I hope you have a wonderful day!!!!!

As I stated before man, Ralph, this truely is unfortunate. The main thing I will point out to you right now is this.....

Maybe the reason Outback Reptiles did not respond to your email was based on the soul reason that orders@outbackreptiles is not their email....

You sent an email to the wrong address.

Wow, just wow...

I am just amazed at the lack of courtesy show to the Original Poster, Ralphie, and his problem. While it may seem like not a big deal to you, this was to him, and having poor customer service is the last resort of criminals. While you constantly insulted him by saying his Mom fights his battles, and was he the Emo kid with the bad attitude, he was just trying to get justice. And come on, we have all bought $200 snakes at a show for $160 cash, thats so commonplace that I was shocked to see that none of you have ever heard of such a thing. Maybe Ian is a good guy, I have never bought from him and never will. It sure seems like Ian's great service was lacking a bit with Ralphie, and those of you that sell reptiles know that you need to take care of EVERYBODY, even when a deal goes south. Ian had an easy out, Ralphie didint seem to be asking him to pay the Vet bills or medicine, just wanted a better snake...and ist that what we all want??

Constructive criticism in not an insult. Pointing out the ways that Ralph handled this incorrectly was meant to be constructive by most here IMO. I believe Ralph exaggerated to time-lines in his favor, made up phone calls to support his case and had an attitude. So he lost out. Maybe he will learn from it.

Ralph

I am still unclear on the timeline. If you would please fill in the appropriate dates without using i to 2 week ranges

What date did you acquire the animals?

What date did you first contact Outback about a problem?

On what subsequent dates did you contact Outback, whom did you speak to and was it by phone or Email?

On what date did you first see a vet?

What subsequent vet visits were there?

What date was the next show where you had your confrontation with Ian?

Having all these points in one post will really help clarify things

I attend many of the Hamburg PA shows in which Ian attends. Also I have purchased from him, and the store that I shop locally here also buys from him.
For any of you guys that think all his animals, even his ball pythons are cb and healthy, wake up.
I have seen unhealthy animals for sale at his tables. He is a major importer. From what I've heard, one of the largest ball python importers in the U.S.
I find it very believable that ralphiee was sold a sick snake, and Ian should throw a few bucks his way. I also believe that vet was too expensive.
My vet charges $40 plus fecal is free with visit. But I dont live in the city.
I would like to see Ian come here and give his side of the story.
While I would buy from Ian again I will always take the greatest care in selecting what I buy from him. Mike shultz and Joe 1983 will never see my money. I'm sure it takes a real man to sit behind a keyboard and bash a 19 year old kid.

I have been watching this thread for a while and have to say. I have never dealt with outback. And never will but I do see them at my local show. Mark I have a question for you...do you have manners. This kid Ralpe comes with an honest question and you bash him right off the bat. That seems very unfair. Think about it.

My vet charged me 135 for walking in, getting panacur and fortaz and a fecal test. Not bad considering the snake is pretty rare and hard to keep. It was an elaphe carinata

i dont know ian , but anyone who sells hundreds or even thousands of animals is bound to have a few incidents, and when something like that occurs(regardless of who is right or wrong , you must deal with it in a mature rational and reasonable manor , if you just approach the situation with an unreasonable response you are bound to get one in return , from what i gathered you acted like a spoiled 10 year old brat with adhd , even reasonable people will react unfavorably when dealing with something like that , maybe if yo had been a a little more diplomatic , you might have gotten a better response it is clear , you have a lot to learn about people skills and i suspect a lot to learn about buying and keeping animals as well.

But that may be just from imports. I think that Ben Dover has a good point Imports/exports are not a good idea introducing disease from asia to a US collection.

:shrug01::shrug01::shrug01::shrug01::shrug01:

Seriously?!

What is up with the people on this thread and posting tags that are irrelevant to reptiles?! Seriously people GROW UP and lets get back on topic. Ralphiee, any vet report yet?!

I think Ian is a stand up guy and will bend over backwards to make a deal right. I have picked up 30+ snakes in the last year from Ian and only had a problem once. I contacted Ian and let him know of my problem and he couldnt tell me sorry enough times and at the next show he more than made up for any problems I had. I dont believe most of what Ralph says due to the holes in his story and I will continue to puchase from Ian and recommend him to any and all people that I deal with.

Apparently Ralph has decided not to enlighten us with any more information. If the issue isn't worth his time...it certainly isn't worth ours.
