Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Giant Snake, Found Dead :(

It looks like a big patternless burm; but with the lighting, dirt, and overall appearance (might have been going into a shed), I'm not positive. That last shot is sort of a wake up call to all keepers, IMO.

Yeah, not quite dead. That video has been around for a while now. Too bad they didn't show just how much damage it did to that video camera or the person holding it with that hell of a strike.
 
So... my G/F was a couple rooms away and heard me jump literaly out of my chair and hit the floor... She then watched it and jumped pretty good herself...

I was watching it.. and thought, gee this looks familiar... it isn't really dead is it? Yet, even having seen it before today, I STILL JUMPED! Sheesh! Very lithe and fast those big guys (and little guys!)

As someone else mentioned, I would be interested to see what the damage was... I couldn't tell if the camera guy was laughing madly or making pained sounds! :) Some folks I gues you just can't tell! LOL!

Nice to see that one again... good, yet very deceptive post! :reddevil:

Do you guys think the snake actually hit the camera? or the guy just reacted, seeing that thing coming at him??
 
hmm...

That's what I'd like to know!

Sounded like he was saying something like "haaa haa haa it bit me, haa haa" although it may have been pained grunting and not laughing... So, I suppose we may never know if he was exaggerating getting the bite or if it was a dead on hit, oh but I'd like to see the view from the snakes end! :hehe:
 
:confused: you guys know thats not a big snake, right ?,,or did I miss the joke,,common hh ,you noticed the 3" pipe line going into the tank and the 1" angle iron used all around it :confused:

perhaps you are missing the entire point of the video.. its not about the snake, its about the idea that perhaps it is dead.. then "shocks" you at the end.

So how big would you say it is? Its obviously not a 50 footer but I'd say at least 10 or 12 feet which is plenty big for the purpose of this video.
 
Looks like a very big Olive to me. Quite a bit bigger than 6'. I would say 12'-14' and maybe bigger around than a 2 litter bottle. The post that the camera guy was passing in the frames are stop sign post and they are 4" wide and 2" thick. It looks like he was found in a water treatment facility to me.
