    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

well if you don't read the letters that are posted you'll never get the clues,or if you are not smart enough to read between the lines you should just watch the chats not be part of it besides this all bull----this has nothing to with us .belongs to the parties that are envolved in this which isn't us and all of you ladies & gentlemen.Because like I said before it has top do with betty /jeanie and gary heidi not us you and if anyone can not read gary's and betty last inputs they started let people know that they are working on a problem and it will be taken care of it on everybodies that is envolved time........

The refund minus shipping was agreed to before ANY of this was posted. The subsequent posts weren't to shed light on a transaction that was going to resolve itself, but rather a scorched earth assault.

Come out guns blazing, carefull... :shootfoot It takes time to heal.

I know if I go into Nordstroms screaming and yelling I am more apt to get arrested than get to return my purchase. I may get to make my full return, but it's not going to happen as quickly as I thought.

As for reputation... time will tell.

This is a test. I am trying to read the last page of this thread and keep getting an error message. I get the same message when I try to view threads in the Admin area. Anyone else having the same issue?

True. But if Nordstrom's takes your return but doesn't refund you, you need to stand up for yourself. Would you just walk out of Nordstrom's if you brought back $400 worth of stuff and they waved and said, 'Hey bud, we'll get back to you'? I didn't think so.

The entire concept of the BOI is that a buyer or seller can come here and recount their business experience, and those who read can make their subsequent purchases armed with the knowledge of that experience.

And further, sometimes wrongs are righted here when a buyer or seller sees that their rep is going down the toilet after they've done something less than ethical, and it has been brought to light.

Many BOI threads have someone who comes in and suggests quiet meekness and patience, and letting the parties work it out in private. My take on that, is if it could have been worked out in private it would have been already, and there would be no issue. There is clearly an issue here.
 
Can't really compare returning Nordstrom's goods with returning living animals.
It's bad enough for a seller to reneg on a refund in the first place. IMO a seller with any kind of ethics at all can hardly refuse a shipment of living animals even if s/he doesn't agree to to the return.

I took my 6 year old son to Walmart to pick out a game because he did well in school. He picked a PC game although I asked him to get a playstation, Xbox or WII game he insisted that he wanted the PC game and he could play it. Long story –short, he could not play it by himself so we went to bring it back. It was only a few days old and I had the receipt. Walmart would not take the game back and would only exchange it for another of the same game. Even after I tried and pleaded with the manager, and showed them the poor saddened 6 year old, they would not even give me credit toward something else. Guess what I ended up doing with the game? I gave it away and bought my son another Xbox game. This was Walmart and their policy was no returns period, only exchange for the same item if item was defective. Can you imagine what would have happened to me if I went there and forced them to take the game back and attempted to take my money back. I think jail time or at very least lawsuit.



Second story; I accidentally won 2 computers on Ebay. Paid for them and then had them both show up at my house. Then when I asked to return one they told me there was a 30% re-stocking fee and I would have to pay to ship it back. I ended up selling one of them for a loss.

Why would the both of you offer us analogies like these?

You both are trying to compare durable goods to live animals, your analogies do not apply here.

And yes caliente its time to put this to an end.....REFUND THE MONEY YOU OWE THEM!!
 
Ed and others: Isn't it getting old repeatedly telling them to issue a refund? They either will or won't but your repeated cries for a refund are adding NOTHING to the situation. Maybe it's time to step back from the keyboard for a little while and let things play out. Just my $.02.

#1 - "Accidentally" winning 2 computers on Ebay was your fault. Nothing was misinterpreted, misrepresented or defective (and I am NOT intimating the Caliente dragons were misrepresented, misinterpreted or defective; I really don't know), but clearly you had no intention of buying 2 computers.

#2 - You had the option of returning the unwanted computer for a 30% restocking fee + shipping cost. You CHOSE to sell it for a loss. Was it the seller's fault that you "accidently" won 2 computers?
The computer seller also did not then renege on the return after thinking about it. After all, it was YOUR fault, not theirs that you weren't paying attention to your computer bids.

Frankly, your sense of justification is warped. You got the animals back ... pay Betty her $400.00 and let that bunch of women duke it out.

If your confused, let me help you out.

The refund should go to the paypal acct that was sent to caliente dragons for payment of the dragons that were returned because they were not acceptable to the buyers.
