Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I am thinking about purchasing a snake from DTS Herps. I was wondering if anyone has done business with him and if so what their experience was like? I have communicated with him via email and he seems like a good fellow.
 
Have you done a search? There is an abundance of reading in the MANY BOI threads on this guy. Some of them are listed at the bottom of the page.
 
Give me a call, Kim. DTS is not a dealer I would recommend. It will take a substantial amount of time, but the threads he is the object of and/or participate in show blatant dishonesty, blame shifting, and flat out unprofessionalism. While there are a few members out there that have had good deals with him, the consequences of a bad deal are not worth the risk.
 
I've bought from him once.....and didnt have any probs....snakes were what he was advertising and ate just like he said.......just like with any1 that does high volume.....some good some bad experiences.
 
Yikes! After hearing all of this from people I trust and reading some of the old threads, I've decided it isn't worth it to take the chance. I don't want to end up screwed again. I had bought a tiger rat from someone else and it died the very next day and now that seller is ignoring me. I really liked the snake and am dying to have another one, but I'll deal with someone else who doesn't have bad feedback here on Fauna.

Kimberly, What are you looking for? I'm sure whatever it is, someone in this community has or knows someone who has what you want. That's a service in its own you get for free by coming here. My point and to answer your question is do a search on DTS, Dan Scolaro and if he has 1 or 2 issues probably no big deal (read the posts and make up your own mind) but if you find he has many bad things said about him I would stay away! I'm not telling you not to buy from him just do some research here on Fauna. You may find that Dan is a respected guy or not but that's for you to desided.

Hey i recently bought 2 Female Ball Pythons From DTS Herps. Well both of them looked great when I got them. One of the Females looked Like she had some shed stuck to her belly and i didnt worry with it. Well 17 days later which is today August 28,2009 I checked her belly to see if the shed had came off. Well it wasnt shed it The Female has Scale Rot, I called Dan and told him and he said it was my fault and not his. He continued to say they were fine when he had them and they had nothing wrong with them. But he is also a shady man. He told me they were captive bred and born but when i was on the phone with him and he was looking at his files and found mine he said "2 Female Imports". So I will not recommend anyone to buy from him unless you really want to.
 
Had he not been banned, he would be here already to claim you were trying to scam him. I know some people have had some good deals with him, but when they go south, they seem to go WAY south.....like Antarctica.

Join the crowd, sorry about your snake. Dan had some beautiful snakes listed on KS claiming CB. I bought 2 but they were not the same ones as he told me were posted on KS. Infact he later claims he had 4 but shows a picture of 5 in that post. He dug his own hole in that fight on the BOI. (That's on another topic) I just understand where you are coming from.

I must have mised where he got banded! Is there a link that lead up to this, I would love to read it.
 
From reading the threads here, it seems like the way Scolaro operates is when there was a public complaint about him here, he rarely addressed the facts of the situation. Instead, he would become so verbally abusive that many complainants would simply withdraw because they would not stoop to his ad hominem attacks.
I would not purchase from such a person.

What does DTS really mean? I'm guessing D= DAN T=(Whatever his middle name is) and S-Scolaro. Dan T. Scolaro Herps = DTS Herps. (Just inquring about DTS Herps here and what DTS really means)
