    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Anyone ever dealt with a Peter Tournas from CT?

I recently bought a female albino ball python from Pete. She was exactly as described, down to the gram. Thumbs up from me.

Well I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news but my transaction with this vendor wasn't as positive. I ordered a male black back pastel from this vendor back in May. When it was time for the animal to be delivered I expected it to be delivered as usual by 10:30am. Well the time came and passed and I got nothing I waited until 11:30 and still nothing, I began getting worried since I live in Texas and this being the summer it’s not unusual for the temperature to be in the high 80s to low 90s by late morning. I emailed the vendor about the situation and I checked the tracking number he had sent me which said the package was still in transit. It was at this time I noticed the vendor had sent the animal thru UPS’s Next Day Air Saver instead of Next Day Air. Which meant UPS had all day to deliver the package at their convenience instead of by 10:30am and the vendor saved about $5. That’s right everyone this guy put this animal’s safety at risk for a measly $5. Now I don’t believe the specifics of shipping were discussed between him and I but he certainly quoted me and charged me for the Next Day Air service.

Now I understand if he's not completely familiar with my residence area and it’s weather but has anyone seriously ever heard of Texas being referred to as a cool weather state? it hardly ever gets below 80 degrees here and during the summer you're talking about high 90s and into the 100s. According to him this was a mistake on the part of UPS but there is a clear price difference between the two services and for someone who claims to send out several shipments a week you would think he would be able to tell something is off just by the price difference not to mention it’s clearly printed in large letters on the receipt.

The other thing is he shipped this snake thru UPS (not thru "ship your reptiles") now for someone who claims to ship many animals doesn't he know it's not allowed to ship snakes thru UPS other than through "ship your reptiles".

Fortunately since I have quite a few things regularly shipped in through UPS and FEDEX on a regular basis the delivery guys know me and my roommates pretty well and they even know where one of us works and often times drop of packages of at work since it falls early in their route. So the snake was delivered around noon to my roommates work with the rest of the packages going to the office instead of riding around for who knows how long until UPS got around to making a delivery to my place.

Anyway I was so upset with the whole situation I drove over to the UPS service center in town with the unopened box with the intention of having the UPS people open the box at the center so they could witness what this guy had shipped me and hopefully have UPS do something about it. Fortunately for him the UPS center was closed at that time for what I could only guess was lunchtime and I didn't want to keep the animal in the box any longer so I went home and opened the box. It was at this time I got the last little surprise of this ordeal. The snake was shipped without a cool pack. The snake seemed to be doing alright and is doing well now but again, who would think of shipping an animal to Texas in the middle of the summer without a cool pack and pay for the animal to possibly ride around all day in a baking tin box on wheels? All to save $5 in shipping and a couple of more dollars on a cool pack? I’m sorry but I will never deal with this vendor again.

I will post all the emails regarding this transaction as soon as I get a chance.

I'm curious about what the shipping service was that you paid for? was this discussed before you sent payment?

There is a wide range of delivery times, before 10:30 am is a premium service. talking to the person you bought this bp from before hand would have cleared up any shipping misunderstandings.

No like I said shipping was not discussed prior to the actual shipping of the animal but I ran a quote through UPS for next day delivery and he charged me for Next Day Air not Next Day Air Saver. Plus when I contacted him he said nothing regarding the fact that delivery method was not discussed beforehand. He tried to tell me UPS had screwed up and shipped it the wrong way and that he always shipped Next Day Air but the fact is he sat there and paid for the service and according to him he does this all the time so he knows the difference between the services. This was about saving a few bucks and thought he would just get away with it and in the process he endangered this animals life.

plus there's the illegal shipping and sending an animal to an oven state without a cool pack. again shipping and packing methods were not discussed which was definitely my fault but by the same token I shouldn't have to babysit someone who is a supposed experienced vendor on how to properly pack and and ship a snake. even the most uninformed person regarding my state when they hear Texas immediately thinks HEAT, probably along with cowboys and cattle ranching (LOL), and heat equals cool pack. it's simple common sense.

Its good to hear that your snake made it safely Juan, even with the threat of death along its lengthy uncooled journey to the hot state of Texas.

Have you informed him of this post, so he can defend himself?
