    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Glad you had a good experience tpaul, although I personally would never support someone that has shown such absolute disrespect for their customers, but especially their animals...you get what you pay for.

Okay, first off you it appears that you received small(er) snakes and unless all 56 of your new arrivals were all coming from Matt at once I wouldn't have expected to see your order(s) arrive in a banana box. I'm glad that your order arrived alive and well but it is only for the animal's safety I am saying this. For you to continue to support someone who has blatantly cut corners and shipped animals improperly is what has some folks (myself included if you couldn't figure it out) irritated. Why would you support someone like that? That is the question of the hour. Is it because you too are cutting corners? There are plenty of people breeding out there (I'd be glad to refer you some ball python breeders) and as far as I am concerned there is absolutely no reason to deal with the likes of Matt Oakley when you could get the animal(s) elsewhere from someone who will ships ALL of their packages in the same manner, properly. I can only wonder what kind of box and condition your order would have arrived in had this thread and the Bad Guy thread not been currently active? To continue to support this person tells us that you condone his shipping practices (even if you don't - see the whole actions speak louder than words thing going on here?). Remember, you can polish a turd but it is still a turd nonetheless. :thumbsup:
 
Banana boxes aside for just a minute. Lets take a look at what is in these threads about Matt.

Go back an notice that there are people with legitimate complaints about the health and quality of the animals that he is shipping out - because there have been more than would be considered acceptable. Irregardless of whether he's "made it right" the number of problems is a red flag.

Lets also consider the fact that Matt is buying up cheap animals from every source to turn around and flip them for a profit - is he QTing? them :shrug01: is he representing them as his own stock :shrug01: IDK - do you.

Now we can go back to the banana boxes and the poor rodent shipping and consider -- if he thinks this is acceptable enough to send to his customers -- what kind of mess is he feeding those animals still in his care?

Clearly there seems to be issues that he needs to get under control before he continues to sell.

Some of you may be new to reptiles - you might not realize the dangers there are dealing with someone that doesn't do it right. Don't be taken it by the song and dance. Don't just buy from the cheapest ad in the classifieds seek out quality and avoid the problems.

The box was well sealed, vented, insulated; inside was packed snugly, snakes secure in bags, paper towel in bags for extra cushion and for any needed absorbtion (as per the SYR video); and most importantly perfect healthy snakes. What else needs to be said. GOOD GUY.

Didnt you know maryland is only an hour and 2 mins away from salt lake city by the post he made with the tracking number? lmao but mapquest says the distance between maryland and saltlake city is Total Travel Estimates: 37 hours 43 minutes / 2460.01 miles lol. not even a plane can deliver that package in 1 hour and 2 minutes. i smell BS in his story when sticking up for matt lol.
