In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Where to get pinkie mice for cheap?

I could but know nothing about them.

it's pretty simple.

a cage, water and food. Depending on size of cage you can have 1 male to 2, 3 or 4 girls...

Pine bedding is cheap

Water bottle

Food, mine do great on Winn Dixie dog food (They need high protein) I also use HOG Block but dog food was what I used for over a year and was fine by itself. Just keepit simple and cheap and the mice take care of the rest.

Take a look at mine... a little more advanced than a 1 cage setup but will give u an idea. (Check out all the posts as I added Rats.

Well ya I could how expensive would you say it is from the start if I have 1 or 2 cages?

A 10 Gallon for a cage, screen top. (Yard sales) I went to my vet yesterday and someone had left a 10 gallon setup with 2 mice at their doorstep. They had a sign that said free mice. I asked if they care what happens to the mice as I was there picking up needles for flagyl injections... She stopped for a second and then realized why I asked and then said they don't care. The tank was free and the male was food when I got home but the female is days away from giving birth so I'll wait for the pinks. Point is, Craiglist, yard sales or whatever are a great place to find cages and setups and sometimes you can go to reptile shops and ask them if the have any used 10 gallons or 20 gallons for sale. (even a cracked one is ok)

Bedding, pick up pine bedding from a feed store (huge bag for 6 or 7 bucks)

In a 10 gallon I would do 1.2 or 1.3 for your mice. NEVER put 2 males together.

You can come up with other creative ways for a cage if you want but it shouldn't be much if you yard sale/craigslist. Even post an ad on craigslist (WANTED: 10 or 20 gallon or rodent cage....)

Could I use like plastic bins with wholes in the top?

Remember they chew however it also depends on the plastic. I would make some sort of screen top but on the other hand if the mice can't get to the top it shouldn't be an issue and you probably wouldn't need a top (plastic or screen). All depends on what bin you speak of or use I guess.

dont buy them on line shipping well coast more the the mice. if i were you try to breed your own mice or rats. if your snake like rats go with the rats. rats are much easier to breed then mice are for some reason.

Breeding mice is pretty simple. It gets REALLY simple if all you need are pinkies because you can just pull the babies and freeze them as they are born.
