• In the past two days I have gotten emails asking about being requested to provide credit card info in order to register and also to make a post in the classifieds forums. PLEASE NOTE: In no instance will this site ask you for this sort of information. The only time any request for payment is made is if you choose to opt-in for a higher membership level, and that is done SOLELY through PayPal. Anything else is coming from a source other than this site. My guess is that this is coming through Google Adsense, but when I can get someone to send me a screen shot of this sort of request, I will know more.
  • Responding to email notices you receive.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Wanted to set this up to keep a running tab of any problems showing up with this new server. So far, here's what I've got.

  • Chat does not work.
  • Spell check does not work
  • Three members have indicated that they cannot upload images as attachments to their classified ad threads.

Anything else?

What about general throughput of this site now? Faster? Slower? Same?
 
I am getting more consistent page loads. I usually hit new posts and start opening them up in tabs. Invariably, I end up with several pages that do not load. Tonight every page loaded without issue.
 
From my end the speed is a little better. Have not tried anything to special. Will send a PM to someone just to test it out.
 
To those people having problems uploading pics as attachments, is this only in the classifieds section or does the problem show up in the discussion forums as well?
 
OK, let's try another angle.

What browser is being used by people who CAN'T upload images?
 
I'm at work - sshhhhhhhhhhhhh - using Internet Explorer (not really sure which version it is)

Would you mind PMing me your password so I can log in as you and try and upload? I want to see if it is actually the login, or if it is the computer you are using. One person stated that he tried a couple of computers at different locations and still couldn't upload. That seems to indicate something tied to the profile or permission set of his registration.

But right now I'm grasping at straws and want to be able to give a sold failure example to my server guy or programmer.
 
I am using internet explorer 8. I am trying to upload a pic straight off of an xd picture card.

We too cannot upload pic.
