In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

First off, I have read all of the negative posts on here about him and I knew what I might be getting into, but I decided to try anyways as he was the only one I could find with a decent priced male champagne. Well, I have to say that he went out of his way to help me, including letting me pay half and then the other half a month later. After I payed the last bit of money he had tracking info sent to me and the next day I had a well packed, health champagne delivered to my door.

I really can not see any fault in anything he did for me. His service was first class all the way, and I got exactly what I bought, not to mention him being kind enough to let me pay it out. Maybe others have had issues with him, but I would have no problem dealing with him again.

Glad to hear you had a good transaction with him . but to be safe cause of all what was said in the past about him i would keep a good eye on the male to make sure he doesnt become sick .

but if all works out well im glad to hear hes getting his act together ,cause theres quite a few animals he has i would love to get my hands on but wouldnt cause all that was said before .so if that snake you got is truly healthy with no issues i may consider buying something from him down the road .

Keep us notified of any updates as you go with your champagne please ..

I will keep everyone updated. So far he is a strong eater and looks very healthy. Later on I will post on here with an update.

Hopefully you have put the snake in another room away from your collections, Mr. Belcher has one of the worst husbandry i have ever witnessed.... But good to hear that it is doing well and hopefully will produce...

I have never purchased animals from Allen, but have made three seperate trade deals with him in the past. Feedback has already been left on those transactions, so I will not repost it. Here is an update on the animals that I received from him.

I have had a total of 34 of his animals in my collection over the last 2+ years, and have not had a single issue with any of them.
Eight of those animals were Morphs and were traded off after thriving in my collection for at least 6 months.
I still have 26 CBB 07' Normal females that I picked up as hatchlings from him, and they are all great eaters, very healthy, and breeding this season.

Thats always good to hear that he does have animals that are healthy, i am not trying to bash anyone from buying off him. But i personally will not, no matter what animals he has due to what i have seen.

Who says that hole-in-one's are reserved for people who can actually see the ball? A blind guy, just sunk his first after 60 years of playing golf.

There are potential lessons to be learned:

If you're an optimist the lesson is: keep trying. In life, love, and business, you can only succeed when you actually try. The blind guy had the ultimate excuse, but it didn't stop him.

If you're a pessimist the lesson is: success is more luck than anything else. Which of course, is then used as an excuse not to try. Why work hard to achieve something that might accidentally happen by sheer luck anyway?

I would like to say that their are enough threads bashing him, warranted or not. I would like this one to stay as a positive one for him. Either you will deal with him or not, but in this case everything worked out great, and he was more than cordial to me the entire time. Please let this thread stay like that and keep the negatives in the proper threads, thank you.

Allen has always done good by me too!

I have to agree with Rob and Stephen as well. I have also purchased Ball pythons from Allen Belcher, even after reading all the negative hype. I based my decision to purchased from him because he was very helpful over the phone and answered alot of my questions. He took the time to try to help me, not sell me. Yes, I quarantined all animals for 90 days prior to setting them up in my snake room, but I do that with all purchases- regardless of what people say about them. To get to the point, I have purchased from him on three separate occasions dating back to almost (2) years ago. I still own all of those snakes and they are all perfectly healthy- some are my best feeders. Stephen- I think you will be very happy with your purchase from Allen.

Well its always good to hear good feedback. However, i was stating a fact that i have and will not buy from him. If others do, then have at it. It's always good to hear that transactions went good and continue to do so. I was actually at the tattoo shop the other day, and the artist said something that is very true. "Our customers make this buisness, and you will hear excellent to bad on almost every shop you go to, it's bound to happen". That statement is very true.

Very happy your experience was a good one so far, his negative posts are well deserved.

Here is a pic of how he was maintaining his ball pythons when his employee snapped a few pics.:(

I do hope your new BP grows and breeds for you...best of luck.:)

Good Luck,

I would not buy from him either. I have talked with Allen and he has always been a nice guy to talk to. But I like to sleep at night and having one of his snakes in my home would not do well with my sleeping schedule. I hope the good deal pans out. And on a side note, guilty or not....Anyone accused of selling off normals as Hets just makes me totally sick. That is the one weak link in our hobby and I hate finding out about con artists taking advantage of good people. And we all know about the numerous posts about him Allen doing it, I will go with the popular vote. I could care less if he has the cleanest animals in the world.

You know, it seems every good guy thread allen gets on him people start bashing him. I believe this gentlemen that started the thread advised he had read all the bad threads on mr allen and decided to give it a try anyways. So why bring the same stuff up in each and every thread??? He knew what he was getting into in the first place when he purchased the animal. Why can't he just have one single good guy thread on the BOI that doesn't turn negative? I think I've seen those same pictures on every thread about him. To me, this is just aggravating to read positive things and always end up seeing the same people bashing the same person. Just IMO on the whole Allen Belcher thing.

Curious?

I agree Bill Rubin, it sounds like Mr. Belcher asked if he could post a good guy thread on him.

Hey Matt, I can assure you that Allen would not ask anyone to post a "Good Guy" thread about him. I once posted a "New" good-guy thread about Allen after I had received a package of beautiful snakes. Allen actually called me to tell me thank you but wished I never did- for the same reason what is happening to this particular thread. I am curious about the statement you made in your initial post, Have you actually been to his facility? You mentioned about personally witnessing his husbandry habits? I myself have never been to his facility but know of a couple people who have. Each of them were pretty impressed with how clean his facility was and had only good things to say. I just wanted to clarify if you have actually visited his facility or if you have based your opinion from Ed's famous pictures that always seem to pop up in any thread about Allen. I have actually studied those pictures, to me they don't add up. Why are there babies-juveniles in a CB-70 size tub? Why is there a turd the size my 3000 gramers produce in there? It's pretty obvious that a small snake could not produce fecal matter of that size. To me, it appears that the employee got lazy when he/she was cleaning out the baby tubs and threw a bunch of them in a dirty CB-70 while cleaning or maybe the employee staged the whole thing in order take a few pics, "who knows":shrug01:. Those pictures are just not consistent from what I have heard from those that have actually been to his place.
