    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

On Sept. 13th he placed a phone order for a caiman and a red foot tortoise. the total was $360 with shipping. He gave me the address to ship to and asked that I send a pay pal request to [email protected] he had said it was his girlfriends paypal account. I sent the request and the payment was made. The order was shipped on the 14th and delivered on the 15th. The tracking number is 1Z14W5622496572452. Today when I checked my Pay Pal account they had opened a claim saying they didnt receive the animals. The animals were shipped and delivered over a month ago. If anyone has any information on these to I would apreciate it.

The first question that comes to my mind is have they contacted you at all in the month since you shipped the animals?
I doubt you were lucky enough to get an email acknowledging receipt.
If they didn't receive them though they would have certainly contacted you to see what was going on. Simply waiting a month then filing a claim with paypal doesn't make sense.

Secondly, any idea who this K Evans is that signed for them?

Was the package sent to the address on file for the paypal account that was used to purchase them or another address?

It's not unheard of that a package is delivered to the wrong address, I've had that happen once myself with a snake I shipped. However, as I said before, if this was the case they would have called or emailed or something long before now to see what the hold up was.

I'm thinking as long as you have that proof of delivery, then paypal will ignore the claim and rule in your favor. I'm not sure how it might be affected if you shipped to an address other than what was on the paying account though.
Have you heard anything from Paypal yet? Have you tried to contact the buyer and see what the deal is?
 
She is a fauna member and I got the impression she is a rather nice person.

FYI, selling a caiman in Jersey is not legal.
 
Sorry I copied the wrong tracking number last night. The correct tracking number is
1Z14W5622493755484. It was shiped threw UPS using Ship Your Reptiles. Someone by the name of Kennedy signed for it.

After he phoned in the order he never contacted me again. If they didnt recieve it you would think they would call me, not wait over a month and then file a claim.

I sent it to the address he gave me on the phone which turns out to be a differnt one than on the Pay Pal account.

All I have from paypal is they have until Oct. 22 to respond back to my reply to their claim.
I did email them yesterday but so far they have not reponded back.
 
I have to agree. I can't see them going a month with no contact if they had not received the package. At the very least they should have been worried it got lost in transit.

Go ahead and post the address you shipped to and any other info you may have about the transaction.
If you can connect either of them to that address whoever the Kennedy is that signed for it won't matter, you will have your proof of delivery.
 
I just found his phone number and called. He answered and I told him who I was and he hung up. I think that says alot.

I also found somthing I thought was odd when looking over the dispute information. The dispute was raised to a claim in 3 minutes.

ALl you have to do is to enter the valid shipping confirmation number into Paypal's dispute---case will be closed as long as it's a valid number.
 
Paypal told me that if the despute is over animals being shipped, they will drop the claim. this happened to me once and the claim was dropped because it was for tortoises. I would call paypal costomer service and let them know. that is what i did when someone tried to take my money.
 
If you did not ship to a confirmed PayPal address, it is considered not delivered. But they also have to make their claim within 30 days.

Just so you know ... I PM'd Harald and asked that he remove your post containing Ms. Evans personal info since she is totally irrelevant to this thread (since the OP posted the wrong tracking number in his initial complaint).

I don't know her, but figured if it was me, I'd probably want someone to do likewise :)

Since the information about Kate was put here due to an erroneous posting. Is the OP willing to state that she is NOT part of this, so it doesn't reflect on her at a later time?

Case will be closed if the tracking # says delivered and it went to the verified address on the paypal acct.

If it was shippped to any other address the chances of winning a dispute are slim.

Just happened upon this thread by coincidence and was surprised to see my name all over the place... :eek:

I appreciate William noting that he posted the wrong tracking number originally (unfortunately, it was the one associated with my shipment), but is there some way to delete my name, address, and phone # from this thread? I try to do good business with folks, and wouldn't want people to get the impression I had anything to do with this dispute if they only read part of the discussion.

BTW, William--the 2 Gerrhosaurus major are doing very well and we're really enjoying them.
