In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Inquiry Bob Mcphee

Gotta say that I've never had a problem with Bob McPhee and I definitely am planning to do more future business with him. As far as my experiences go, this gentleman is one of the Good Guys in our business.

Chris it would be helpful if you discusses your situation with us, did you do a breeding loan?

There was not a breeding loan. I purchased a group of animals from chris for $5k. I paid him $4,300 relatively quickly and have failed to pay off the remaining $700. I have missed a couple of deadlines and still owe him $700.

I am doing the best I can to get him his money. I am not dodging the balance I owe Chris Nicholas, I have fallen on some pretty serious financial woes and that is why Chris has not been paid yet. I offered him the animals back to cover the balance owed and he refused (which I understand why, nobody wants to restock animals that were in someone elses care for a period of time risking the health of their stock).

If more needs to be reiterated I will kindly do so posting all emails and other communications we had....

Bottom line is: I OWE CHRIS NICHOLAS $700

Thanks
Bob McPhee

Thanks Matt,
I appreciate the kind words and business!
Keep me posted on your results this season!

Why would Chris come to this site to call you out instead of doing it over the phone/ personal email? Seems to me he wants others to fight his battle. If you ask me, he is being rude and acting childish.... if you paid him $4300 bucks for animals why would he be hurting for $700... is he hurting for money that bad?

I don't see why there's a need to dig any deeper here. It's pretty obvious they did a deal that has not quite been finalized. Bob openly acknowledges his debt to Chris. Chris's post indicates he's good with the situation. I've little doubt Bob will make good when he can. Both parties are reputable people but sometimes unforeseen sh*t happens. :shrug01:
Neither Chris or Bob deserves any negative comments or thoughts on this situation IMHO.

Bob please show us youe emails with chris so we can understand the situation. Were you avoiding chris for a period of time? Did Chris try to contact you privatly before coming here?

For whatever reason, Chris felt it was necessary to INQUIRE here. Whether he couldn't get in touch with Bob, was unsure about whether or not to trust him, or any other reason, Bob has come here and acknowledged the debt.

I absolutely agree that there is no reason to dig any further. If either party feels it is warranted, I'm sure they will post accordingly. Let's not make more of this than it is.

Bob..........has yet to return my emails or calls or phone text messages the last few times, he tried to set up one of his customers to pay me, and I am still without the final payment.

Bobs due dates were Oct. 1st, Oct 10th, then he asked if he could have until November 7th, and yet still no payment, this is where he asked his cutomer to pay the debt. I agreed, only to be taken for another ride. Unfortunate as it was the customer had a death in the family, as I was trying to make contact with him for the payment.

Bottom line this is Bob's debt.............he does not have the decency to call or respond to any of my messages. His last response was" I will be paid".

Bob where is the money?

Bob has $5000 worth of animals and one of only 4 central maerican motleys het pewter in the world. All that I am asking is that I be paid the final payment of $700 in a timely manner.

If anyone can reach Bob, because he won't return my calls, please tell him to pay!

I won't return your calls Chris because I have nothing to say to you. I told you I will pay you, I also told you that I am in a bad financial place, which is nobody's fault buy my own. You have been pushy, demanding, rude, and quite disrespectful. You have left rude disparaging remarks by text and voicemail. I can't give you what I don't have. I offered the animals back several times, you said that was unacceptable. I told you that after I sent you the first $4,300 that I did not think I was going to be able to come up with the additional $700 very quickly. I also told you at that time to keep the additional pair of het bloods and keep the additional $300 I had paid on them. You sent the animals anyhow in order to obligate me for the additional $700. This is shady business at the very least. But the bottom line is I accepted the additional $700 debt and I am responsible for that.
I will make sure you are taken care of next week some time.
I have never met anyone quite like you Chris, I paid you 95% of what I owe you. I dont dispute that I owe you $700, I came on a public forum and let everyone know I owe that debt. But yet you have left nearly 50 rude and demeaning texts and voicemails telling me to grow some "balls" and pay my debt. For anyone who might purchase animals from Chris Nicholas Let me say this:
The animals are flawless in every way! They look great, eat great and are without a doubt genetic powerhouses! But besides the high quality animals his customer service is quite shaky. He never really means what he says. If you purchase from chris pay in full and don't let him send animals without them being paid for in full. He will haunt you even if you paid over 95% of the total balance and need a little more time to complete the payment.
Im sorry you have pushed me to the point where I will not talk to you Chris, but I am a man of my word and when I told you that I was done communicating about this issue due to the way you were treating me, I meant that!
You would serve yourself much better by being able to put yourself in others shoes once in a while. I bought $5000 worth of animals from you, yes you have had to wait on the measly $700, but if you would have been a different kind of person I would have probably been spending at least that much again in the future. Not to mention others who have come to me asking about your animals and customer service. I can guarantee that your relentless pursuit for the $700 I owe you (which I don't dispute, and only required a little patience on your part) Has cost you ten fold in future sales and peace of mind.

Once again to make my point clear:
I owe Chris Nicholas $700 and he will be taken care of next week November 23-30, 2009.

Bob,

Please do not attack me as I am not in the wrong here. The only mistake I made was sending you the animals before the full balance was paid. Which I regret, but I was going on the reputation I have heard from others about you. My animals and my reputation are flawless, this is about you not holding your end of the deal, lets not try to point the finger back in my direction. As you stated the animals are flawless, why don't you tell people how you missed the Oct 10th deadline for final payment, that you set? Why don't you tell people you missed the November 7th deadline you set? Why don't you tell people you tried to have your customer pay me, which never happened? This is not about Chris Nicholas, this is about Bob Mcphee. Once again Bob, yes I contacted you only to get what you owed me. Yet you refuse to communicate, simply becuase as you stated " financial difficulties" No one pushed you to buy the animals, I am only asking for that which is mine.

I have been the snake business for 16 years now and thankfully I have never come to an issue as Chris and Mr.Mcphee are having. I have never had dealings with Bob but always heard nothing but good things about Mr. Mcphee. As for Chris he has been a customer and friend for 10 years now. He always pays his rodent bills on time and has always been true to his word in all his dealings with me.
The BAD thing about these threads is all we get is HE SAID HE SAID and people start taking sides and believe me peoples reputations and business ethics can take an absolute beating over a few bucks.
Bob has come onto some hard times with money as we all have had at sometime. We really don't know IF maybe Chris has fallen on hard times also. He has a family to support as most of us do and when he sells something he is just asking for what he does and that is to be paid. Like I said it is bad news for both parties as they are both fine gentleman and great assets to the business, as they have both stated about each other. I can only hope that they can come to a gentleman end to a bad chain of events

I just found this on bobs website

I was fortunate enough to pick up a great group of animals from Chris Nicholas Reptiles. All I can say is WOW! Chris is an asset to the community and an amazing person to work with. I added 4 top notch animals.

1.0 2009 CA Motley Double het for pewter (het for blood and type II anery)
0.1 2008 Hypo het blood possible het for pewter (type II anery)
1.0 2008 Het Blood
0.1 2008 Het Blood
I look forward to producing some amazing cutting edge morphs with this group in combination with animals I already have....Just imagine what a bloody motley or a pewter motley or even better yet a hypo pewter motley (plasma motley)!
If anyone has the opportunity to work with Chris Nicholas do it! You will without a doubt be pleased with his character and especially his animals!

This is the CA motley dh pewter and the Hypo het blood pos. het pewter! (These are pictures from Chris, I will post updated pictures as they mature)

Both Good Guys

I usually don't get involved in others disputes but I know both of these guys Bob and Chris and know that they will come to terms. I totally understand both sides Chris on the business aspect and Bob dealing with hard times.
Business is business and deals are meant to be kept. Seems like a lack of communication more than anything.
I hope they reconcile soon. Just hate to see two GOOD guys on the front of the BOI.

Fellow Reptile Keepers please help me out. It seems that Bob does not want to take care of his responsibilities. Granted in his last message he states I will be paid the week of Nov. 23rd - 3OTH, so he still has a small amount of time. I am here to say that Bob still has not paid, if he does not be as he puts it a"man of his words" this will be the fouth deadline he has missed for the final balance that he owes.

According to Bob $700 is measly, not to me or anyone esle I know. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can reconcile this?

Bob according to your last statement on this public forum, I would be paid by today...........so I truely hope you are what you say you are (a man of your word) and pay your debt.

It would be bad business to miss the 4th deadline on the 'measly $700" as you stated

Chris

Sorry Chris I am doing the best I can!

I guess I missed the deadline!
