• In the past two days I have gotten emails asking about being requested to provide credit card info in order to register and also to make a post in the classifieds forums. PLEASE NOTE: In no instance will this site ask you for this sort of information. The only time any request for payment is made is if you choose to opt-in for a higher membership level, and that is done SOLELY through PayPal. Anything else is coming from a source other than this site. My guess is that this is coming through Google Adsense, but when I can get someone to send me a screen shot of this sort of request, I will know more.

In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Dr. Brad Minson (Bad Guy) - Advice Needed Please

so who do you guys who live in OK go to???? I would like to tell my friend. He is just a youngster and he adopted a neglected beardie and I live across the country so cannot be of much help. I am worried because he brought him to this guy and he wants to amputate his leg because it is swollen :/ He put him on an anti-inflamatory and from what I can gather once the vet bill is paid off from the first visit (payment plan?) they will operate. I keep asking him what he said was wrong but have not gotten an answer. Would like to get him to get a 2nd opinion. I have told to be prepared to spend some $$ and his folks seem to be OK with this. I am a long time keeper and he comes to me for advice. He was going to go out and get a BD. he was taking his time, getting his setup, etc. but then this opportunity presented itself...

He is in Blanchard, OK
thanks

I'm not sure where in OK you are looking for, but here's a list from a website i've found helpful in the past: http://www.herpvetconnection.com/oklahoma.shtml

I don't live there so I have no idea what is close. He lives in Blanchard and I know it is near OK City. I am trying to get firsthand opinions at this point under the circumstances, but thanks :)

Well call me cold-hearted but usually if I have a reptile with an issue I won't deal with a vet unless it's a high-end herp. I find that most problems can be dealt with on your own. Plus, I trust very few vets when it comes to herps.

Dog owners are geeting up to 39,000 dollors for malpratice. Dragon people treat there reptile like a dog part of the family. They have names just like dogs and live in your home just like a dog.

I edited my signature but forgot to check show sig box :( I do not see anywhere to actually change my member name.

I am not getting anywhere in this thread anyway (all I want is the name of a vet in OK city at thsi point) so it is all for naught, maybe I'll have better luck on the forum but here..happy now??

I am a client of Dr Minson's currently and I also work for him. While I don't know anything about the beardie incident in AZ, I do know that he is a trusted reptile vet in the OKC area. I have taken all of my reptiles to see him and he has saved a few of them from certain death. I have also seen him save the lives of multiple other types of animals; dogs, cats, birds, small animals, even fish. He is the medical consultant for the Oklahoma City Herpetological Society. I recommend him to anyone needing a herp vet in Oklahoma and I did so even before working for him.

I just realized that I have heard of Dr. Minson from way back when. When I was working at a local pet shop, he was the guy that often did business with the shop as well as a guy that worked there. He (the coworker of mine) swore up and down how good of a vet he was, so who knows. I've never used him but his reputation was/is apparently great.
