The reason this happens so much is because no one who is taken advantage of ever goes and knocks on the door. If that started to happen more often, this type of behavior would decrease greatly in my opinion. Not many things can make you feel better than when they answer the door and have no clue who you are. Plane tickets are inexpensive and the look on his face would be priceless. I will even contribute to a fund to send the people who were robbed to his front door. Just an opinion.

I'm just an observer here, but having read the entire thread, I'm of the opinion that "Kyle" MAY be setting some up.

The REAL Kyle.

Just a gut feeling.

I don't know why.

But this may be the missing piece to the puzzle and why Kyle is so adamant about confessing.

There's bad blood here, but it doesn't seem to me to be directed at the people he scammed.

It seems that the REAL Kyle is the intended target.

When you've called, the person seems clueless about who you are and claims to have no snakes. MAYBE those claims are TRUE.

Perhaps when the police are finished investigating this whole debacle, it will come out that our little "friend" here making all the admissions of guilt was actually setting up someone who's completely innocent.

I PRAY that isn't the case, but it wouldn't surprise me in the least.

However it turns out, I hope the scam victims get their money back SOON...and that our "friend" Kyle ends up wearing stripes and shackles for Christmas.

Maybe he'll even be invited to play "hide the soap" in the shower with the other inmates!!

This is exactly what I was thinking. Non of us can be sure but it really seems this way. Kyle is way to open about scamming people, he has stated his paypal account is "sitting pretty". I think he has cracked or hacked the real Kyle McDaniel's account and is just enjoying screwing with people. Take a look at his Fauna profile and past activity, just doesn't seem to fit a scammer's profile. This is just my opinion

I have also read the entire thread. I agree as well. I also read some of hisother threads and it just doesn't sit right. Something is off and the person claiming to be Kyle is WAY to willing to throw a confession out there. With all the ID left stories I have heard, its not that far fetched.

What I want to know is, how does the "Kyle" on the end of the phone act when questioned? Is it genuinely surprised or confused?

Maybe someone should call and ask a lot of questions.

Something is just not right, why scam people and get a lot of money, only to turn around and brag about it to the people that you scammed. Why bring the heat down on yourself, sure 17 year old boys like to brag, but usually get caught by running their mouth's to friends who then say something to a parent.

However if this person is the real Kyle and enjoys doing this, I would be really worried about what else he'd do. So its either a total scam, and Kyle was set up. Or Kyle is a total sociopath, enjoys playing games with people and messing with their lives... guess we'll have to wait and see.

It is only trespassing if you are asked to leave and you refuse. But to answer your question I would do whatever I could for anyone that has the willingness to confront someone who has stolen from them. By arriving in person you would meet the parents. that would have quite an impact on the scumbag. If this account has been hacked and is not the person in question why has the victim in this case not come forward stating that is account has been hacked (with some sort of proof). I have knocked on many a door in my time and never had anything but positive results. Never arrested. never even a loud word. The reason these scammers pull this stuff is because they feel things are tilted to such a drastic degree in their favor. Like I said this will continue to happen. There is a reason these people do not rob their neighbors. Probably something to do with having to face who they stole from.

And if you're going to the length of confronting them face-to-face, you can take an hour to let the cops know what's happening and haven them come with you!!

I'm guessing not, but is there any way to tell if those first posts made under the mckyle username were sent from a different IP than the "mckyle" posting now? That would clear some things up a bit....

The whole mckyle username may have been set up as part of taking the original Kyle down. If the whole thing was a setup from day one, the IP might prove that. It would all be the same IP form day one to now.

I am still not understanding why everyone keeps saying something doesn't feel right in all this. Stupid - egotistical criminals flaunt what they've done. Especially someone as young as 17. As I already said, what 17 year old wouldn't flaunt scamming people out of over $1k and pretty much got away with it. Strangely no one has even commented on that or seemingly taken it into account. And yes it really can be that simple. Why is this possibility even unfathomable to everyone????
A 17 year old kid scammed people out of over a $1k, seemingly bought new herps with it and then gloats. Hhhhhhhmmm doesn't sound to far fetched to me.

And the part about going through all this for no 'payoff' and why do it? Because he could. He even admitted that. Sometimes crimes yes are that simple. Do I believe the little asshole had no access to the money?? Absolutely not. Again none of my other post on any of this was addressed.

And one more little tidbit to think about. If he's lied this much and even possibly (I say possibly because there is NO proof that he did) lied about his identity why wouldn't he lie about having access to that money?? If the money was in the account and all the evidence was brought forth before PayPal then a refund would be issued very quickly. But yet it's going to take 30 days for a refund if you get it at all??????

I have nothing but empathy for the victims. As I said I have been scammed before and it was for almost $2k and the case was huge. Nail this little shit bag to the wall. IF he is 17 he and his parents aren't untouchable. IF he's not still nail this shit bag to the wall and hope that his has a really big, really mean cell mate.

I really really hope and pray he gets caught. If this ends up being a really elaborate scheme then I'll be the first to openly admit I was 100% wrong and further apologize for being so. I just wanted state my opinion and that hopefully everyone is looking at all sides of the coin on this.

Whatever he is just scared now cause Im not just talking im acting and now he is backing out and supposidly abandoning this Fauna account he also gave me a new email address to use. I just simply replied, "the cops will straighten it out." Im almost positive it is Kyle and he is 17.

If a mod can pm me the ip address from the Mckyle posts made here on Fauna, I can compare them to the Mckyle that has been posting on GeckoForums (his account has been suspended until this mess is straightened out).

He said in the begining of the thread somewhere that he is on a dial up service and his IP is different every time he signs on...I think he said that..and I don't feel like going back and looking but somethign about dial up and something always changing, im almost sure it was his IP.
