• Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

how bad is being bitten? never happened to me

Your right jim, gotta love em both <3 and Bell, I think your a sweetheart all the time, you just play it off as being evil ;) like a retic too! I need a pic to make shure you arnt a retic typing this with your toungue!

And yes retics can be absolute sweethearts just like me :D
(where's an innocent angel smiley when you need one??)

I have lost count the number of times I have been bitten......lots of wild caught snakes. Defensive bites are ignored and feeding bite accidents are delt with a spray bottle filled with ammonia.....it is like mace to a snake and the snake will instantly release you with the least amount of damage to itself and you. I, through pure stupidity, got tagged by a timber rattlesnake and that tiny hole bled like a firehose.....very painful at first and then went numb. 10 yrs after the rattlesnake bite I got stung by one of my lionfish in the same finger....the best way to describe that pain is: stick your finger in a light socket and then hit it with a hammer once every 30 seconds for about 12 hours.....I stuck my hand in the hot tub for 5 hours and it did not help much with the pain. LOL

I've gotta say as a tattoo artist, and ball python breeder I'd have to say most snake bites hurt way less than getting ink. Other than my big burm getting me a long time ago most bites are quick enough to barely be felt. Especially the bp bites. My 2600 gram female ball bit me last week. I didn't know she got me till I felt the blood dripping down my hand.

Lol I love these threads! Us snake people are really insane, aren't we? :D

I'm struck at all the time (90% of the time by my nasty short tail), but never been bitten. Ah, well, it'll happen one of these days!

Yep, yep. I've been bitten by most reptiles, and arachnid, but the worst bite... CHILDREN! They're evil little suckers. If I'm ever re-encarnated I'll clip a nut before puberty!
