In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Edward Haste will not refund money for my DOA Bearded Dragon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is just unbelievable...dare I say insane! First off, Renae, we're sorry that you've been treated like this...there's no excuse. Not only do all reputable (key word) breeders offer live arrival guarantee (without being asked) - most will guarantee health for a predetermined period, after arrival (retail). From our perspective, Mr. Haste has done absolutely nothing right. No need repeating all of the instances. Ed...find a job at McDonalds - mow lawns on the weekends - do something to come up with the funds owed Renae...jeez, were really not talking about emptying the college fund or taking out a second mortgage here. Renae is not responsible for this circumstance - we know it and worst of all - you know it.

If you continue in this manner, your actions and words will certainly kill any chance of becoming/remaining a real business person. Word of mouth is powerful - we have also added you on 'the list' and will insure that all of our contacts are aware of your poor business practices. Occasional bickering aside - the reptile community is tight knit and this BOI will force you to remain in the shadows - if your lucky.

I'm fairly certain this post will fall on deaf ears but felt compelled to make a statement. *stepping down and returning to our basking rock*

Spent the money? LOL. I am soooooooo sick of people who do this. What did you buy?

You gotta pay to play--If you want to make a buck at breeding you need to back yourself up with the collection and cash. You can't just drive around with spinny hubcaps and gold teeth. You need to insure your animals and customers' satisfaction. Or else you need to tone down your hobby so you don't have to sell anything.

Refund this buyer's money!

Ed, just to give you ANOTHER example... This guy right here sold me 2 ugly frogs last month. I ASKED him if it was ok to ship them being that ALMOST no one guarantees live arrival of amphibians.

Mark not only told me that I will have them in the morning, mind you it was snowing in Pittsburgh and I am in frozen Oklahoma, that I dont need to worry about the shipping because they will be in my hands alive, no matter what. Had they died, I know FOR A FACT that this seller would have shipped me more uglies and NOT even question me.

If I ever buy another amphibian, I will be checking with Mark first. Ed, this is the type of care you want to give ALL of your customers whether or not have anything to sell them at that time. I am his customer for life now because of the care he has given me on some cheap 25.00 frogs.

Dont ruin your business over one shipping error.

Im having an 80's flashback.....

You still looking Ed? How ya plan on flipping animals if you dont have the $$$ pay off your current debts? Now that I have seen this.... do we really know that he produced the beardie in the first place or that it was in good shape when it was placed in the box?

Leaves me to wonder.

i have done guarantees in the past and yes if she had asked for one i would have given one.but she didnt!yes i should have used a 40 hour pak but it should have been there in one day not two.i dont know of any storm in mephis that day either?so i shipped monday and on tuesday it never got there why didnt she say something on tues.?so i should use longer paks and she should be a better shopper.

What a pile of shit. I purchased 5 R.amazonicas from Josh's Frogs. 3 days later one was dead. I let him know just in case he accidentally shipped one too early (they are 0nly 5/8" as adults). I told him i didn't blame him but was sad that the little guy perished. He immediately refunded my money for the dead one, $100.00 each. I couldn't believe it. In return I used the refund to buy another one and bought an additional one. You could take some lessons from good breeders. The point for everyone is that good guys do exist. If you really want to go on a vengeance, start a blog entitled edhastereptiles and post all the bad deals you can find. That way when people do a web search he will pop up. I did this to Livingaquatic when they screwed me. Look at my blog if you want an example, it works really well. http://livingaquatic.blogspot.com you don't have to put up with this garbage! I'm sorry you got screwed.

First off ... the real shame of this is that beautiful dragon suffered due to the failure of inept humans. That really was a gorgeous dragon that deserved better.

Ed, you really need to go back to Business 101 and start honing some skills if you want to flip animals (which is what I glean from your multiple posts here looking for animals and wholesalers, selling and trading your stock, etc.) Skills which include communication, shipping and business management. Skills which include a reasonable terms/conditions of sale that's a "one size fits all" and does not change on a whim to suit your needs or mistakes or lack of knowledge/experience. A TOS that is specific in what you guarantee and do not guarantee.
The customer should not have to guess or ask or wonder what your intentions are.

Your excuses and lack of concern and shifting blame to Ranae; your spending her $ before the transaction was truly complete & satisfied is NOT good business policy or good business sense. Actually saying out loud she's not a good shopper? What the hell is that?

It may be shipper delay that ultimately lead to the poor dragon's demise ... it's your failure as a keeper/shipper to insure that little girl got to California in good shape. Who ships from Indiana to California in winter with only a 24-hour heat pack? What other insulation did you use to insure that animal's safety?

I saw your post from July '09: http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/forums/showthread.php?t=140691&page=2
You got stiffed on a trade. You sent baby geckos (with an unbelievable $137.00 shipping charge) and used a Postnet to ship. One of those "copys, printing, shipping, mailboxes" places (your words) to ship live baby animals.

I keep and breed many of the animals you've been selling, trading and soliciting the acquisition of. As a buyer and seller I would not consider selling or buying from you just based on this thread alone. I account for little to nothing, I know ... but my name is good and my conscience is clear.

Take care of business, Ed, and do what's right.

On a side note..... Due to the way LauraB carrys herself here on Fauna.... I wouldnt hesitate one bit to buy from her. You on the other hand... I will be avoiding like the plauge.

For Ed:

1- Refund her money.
2- Learn to ship properly, and take care of your customers when bad things happen
3- Don't look for any more excuses.

For the rest of you:

Stick to the facts, and stop acting like a bunch of monkeys flinging poo. He messed up, let's help him figure out how to right his wrong instead of alienating him.

You folks need to realize that people make mistakes, and we are a community. Enough with the crusades. It's the guy's first mistake. Help him...don't crucify him.

Why not send her one of these dragons???

I'm willing to take the female but, I will not pay for shipping again. Or I will take a $200 refund and call it even. I could use the money instead of the dragon due that I had to get another present for my daugher's B-day.

Renea, crappy deal sorry. But please learn from a situation that was not your fault... ask for live arrival (I beleve this is bare minimum for all reptile sales) it has scared less than great "people" from selling to me...yay! Last know you know shipping in temps outside of 40-90 is danger danger danger, as a buy I look at temps to protect my little friend that I bought as he/she can't do anything about it. My disclaimer none of this is renea's fault but I thought it good advice for someone new.

Ed... I don't know what to say... you might be fixing the situation but for one reason or another you put that poor little beardie in a less than prepared shipping box and shipped it in less than acceptable conditions! If you truly love the animals then protect them! If your just flipping animals for a quick buck... protect the animmals your maiking money off of or quit doing it! Live arrival is the minimum guarantee for your buyer.. don't think we won't wait out the weather while you have our money I paid in full for an animal in december and its still sitting at the sellers house waiting for optimal temps to ship her in. Learn from this mistake and grow as a customer service agent for your hobby business what ever... treat people how you would like to be treated in the situation is usually a good rule... I think its golden. Lol.
