And considering I've never seen them try to post any dogs or puppies for sale on craigslist like most puppy mills do around here, I too wonder why they are taking in a bunch of dogs :(

DOGS??????my god what a dushbag....you think with all the rabbits he was producing here in california he would have a huge supply left over "hence the term hump like rabbits".i would hate to see how they took out the dogs,considering i use to see how he took out rabbits.someone should crack him with the end of an ax handle and see how he likes it..hint hint.
 
I was at this guys house today helping Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries remove several illegal pythons(over 12 feet without a permit).... The conditions at this place were appalling.... it smelled like death.... Also several cats and dogs were seized that were being kept in pet carriers standing in piles of their own feces..... I still am in shock after seeing this place... I have over 100 photos... but Im not sure if I can get into a legal bind by showing them in a public forum...... if interested in seeing some pics... IM me.....


I think the public deserves to see what this guy is all about.... I can't believe anyone buys from this guys..... there were mites everywhere.... I went to a friends house to shower... and threw away my clothes that I had on....... There was junk piled on top of more junk.....

His "BIG FANCY BREEDING FACILITY" consists of 2 trailers and an RV.... both run down.... I believe they were sleepiing on a matress in one of the snake rooms....


ANyway the Government Finally got this guy..... Sad thing is... since the laws are so laxed in Louisiana, nothing under 12 feet can be confiscated.... 22 large pythons were confiscated today and arrangement are being made to rehome them through our state herp society.

One of the confiscated snakes is an albino paradox retic.... so it's up for grabs ......
 
PS... just for the record...... They don't have 1/3 of the stuff they list on their webpage.....lots of Burms retics and rock pythons..... a few carpets, anacondas.. and odd & end boa constrictors.... but nothing like they say on the website..
 
I'm glad they finally got this dirt bag. I knew they would eventually, but it's too bad he got away with so much before they got him. The fingerprints should seal his fate unless he managed to alter them enough so's not to get a match.

I sure hope you guys can find homes for those critters. Having to do it a time or two myself, I know first hand that rehoming large constrictors is a large task to accomplish.

I only ask because that loser still owes me either $700 or $700 worth of snakes. I never said anything because I no longer have the emails or the postal money order receipts because my house flooded and A LOT was destroyed. :(

Yes I'll be honest even after the warnings back then, when I created this thread I still gave him and his hag of a wife the benefit of the doubt. Lesson more then learned when I kept hearing lies.

I now find such wonderful sadistic glee in knowing he and his hag were arrested. I know I'll never get my money or the snake I was promised. But this is probably going to be good enough for me. When he goes to prison he'll be put into general population (hopefully). General population prisoners are very abusive to two types of inmates; the ones who commit crimes against children and the ones who commit crimes against animals. Let's all hope he goes to prison!! :reddevil:

Allen Parish Animal Rescue Investigation

OAKDALE, LA (KPLC) - The Allen Parish Sheriff's Office is investigating possible animal cruelty charges against snake breeders in south Oakdale.

The sheriff's office received permission to investigate the "High End Herps, Inc." snake breeding business after a woman filed a criminal complaint against the breeders.

The woman said the two snake breeders advertised their business as a "germ free safe haven" for unwanted animals.

But when she found her dog for sale on-line, she took action with a criminal complaint.

Upon entering the residency of David Beauchemin and Tawni Beauchemin-Eddy, conditions led authorities to question whether or not the couple was feeding caged animals to their hungry snakes.

"We found conditions relating to cruelty to animals," said Chief Deputy Grant Willis of the Allen Parish Sheriff's Office. "Sanitary conditions there were very poor. We have been seizing evidence that will be tested later in the lab to see if there is anything illegal pertaining to the animals."

Authorities found other violations made by the snake breeders.

State law requires owners with snakes exceeding 12 feet in length to obtain a permit for their pet.

Twenty two of the almost 250 snakes exceeded 12 feet in length.

Since the snake breeders failed to get a permit for these snakes, all 22 of those snakes will be taken out of the residency.

David and Tawni Beauchemin remain behind bars as they have both been charged with an initial complaint of cruelty to an animal.

Investigators are currently waiting for lab results to see if any additional charges will be filed.

This is the same location that previous complaints have been filed regarding missing pets. In those cases, the sheriff's department said the snake breeder didn't break any laws, so they were not able to enter the premises to investigate.

well the owners of heh got arrested for animal cruelty,they had caged dogs and cats kept in less the horrable conditions ,they also did not have the permits for snakes over 12 feet needed in the state the live in .the authorities also are investigating if they fed dogs or cats to the snakes.this is just what the reptile nation needs two days before the hearing on the ban ,i just hope the usark and the breeders who don't keep animals like that can win this battle because the powers that be are going to use the heh arrest as fuel to the fire .
